I ordered a high quality body cream that gives you a non streaking bronze firming finish with spf, they didnt carry it inside the store so I let them order it for me, i look at my email receipt and they ordered the wrong color after I specifically said BRONZE not glow... I call the store to see if they can switch the color, the lady I ordered it from told me she doesnt know what happened... honestly just admit your mistake and dont play dumb... so since she wanted to act like she didnt do anything wrong I requested a refund, she then tells me I have to wait for my wrong color product, then bring it in to get scanned... I asked if theres any way just to stop the order, she says she doesnt know... She then asks for a manager then im told my order is cancelled but I now have to wait 3 to five business days for my money back in my account so I can order it myself so there wont be any mistakes... when I was in the store everyone was clueless and im guessing not properly trained... ive worked retail for 7 years so going to a nice store and buying a high dollar item means alot when you are on a budget and trying to look good... and hearing that i wont have the right product and have to wait for my money to get back to me just because they made a mistake is disappointing... and being spoken to and asked if I can just re order the right one when im not the one who made the mistake, acting like I have money to throw around then just return the wrong one... This was my monthly treat to myself and now im pissed.

I have been dying for this location to open since I live up North and the Barton location doesnt carry any specialty items. The store is beautiful and the design flow and lay out are great. I love shopping at Nordstrom, the customer service is out of this world. The selection is terrible at this time though. I was hoping for more designer items that are hard to find in Austin, like Chanel and YSL. There are little designer items. The handbag section could use a variety of items. Two big brands they carry already have a stand alone store in the Domain. I was hoping they would bring big names in, to rival the only other department store in Austin that carries designer labels. The same could be said about the shoes and sunglasses. I love the setup of this store, I hope there are more things to come as they learn the market of this area and the needs of clients. I am so glad that I dont have to go down south anymore to get my Nordstrom fix!

I would give this Nordstrom ten stars if I could. I went on the second day of early access for the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale and every sales person I encountered was a complete charm. From the gentleman in shoes who not only helped me tremendously finding some gorgeous boots, but also took my bags upstairs for me so that I could continue shopping in womens. A++ And then, the lovely woman who helped me in clothing (Alicia!) - A++ x 100. I had a list of about 30 pieces I had seen online and not only did Alicia search all over the 2nd floor to find and pull these pieces, she set up a dressing room for me and checked in periodically and happily pulled different sizes, colors, styles at my request. I couldnt have had a better sales person help me. I wish I could remember the gentlemans name in shoes but these two made my shopping experience so incredible. Thank you to both of these - they are the perfect examples of customer service.

Beautiful store, fantastic service, horrible selection. As someone else noted, its more like a Barneys than a Nordstrom but unlike her I dont mean this in a good way. I went in hoping to try on a number of things I had seen on the Nordstrom website, straightforward items from mid-price lines like Eileen Fisher, Nic+Zoe, Vince Camuto. Not much from these lines and nothing in the store was wearable at a professional job- (well, I guess than depends on your profession . . .) even at higher price points. I mentioned this to the sales people and they pretty much agreed that that this store didnt carry that kind of thing. Actually there was not much that would even work for a well-off stay at home mom of the sort that were in the store that day (weekday during work hours). I do hope they will re-think the stock - I miss my old Nordstrom.

Beautiful store, but terrible at alterations. I brought in my blazer for fixing on a Friday and needed it by Tuesday. I just needed the sleeves taken up for an interview. One sleeve was fixed. The other was significantly longer and seemed not to have been touched. I had to go into my interview with my jacket like this. Not happy to pay $600+ for a suit to have it altered incorrectly. Extremely disappointed. They stated they would fix it. I will update this review once I see how they remedy the situation for my time to take another two trips to get the sleeve repaired correctly. Management should be more vigilante on employees attention to detail and customer service. I should have gone to my normal tailor, Q Cleaners in Jolyville. Connie is more talented than this.

This store is beautiful and has a great parking garage attached to it. However, the store has a really, really high ceiling (3-4 stories) and I dont think that their A/C is equipped to handle it. After only about 5 minutes walking around the store, we were feeling uncomfortable (and this was at 9pm, not noon). Also, their clothing selection is poor. It was great walking around the store because the racks were far apart, however, that doesnt matter much if they dont carry anything that you want. Its like it has the stock of a completely different store with a Nordstrom sign stuck to the building. If you want to just go to a nice store in the Domain, go there. If you want to go to a Nordstrom, go to Barton Creek or San Antonio.

Nordstrom is a much-needed addition to the Domain, and this store is bright, beautifully laid out, and easy to shop. The employees of the cafe on the main level are Nordstrom-excellent; ask them to suggest a drink. Service throughout the store is impeccable - as expected from Nordys. It does not have nearly as much inventory as the Barton Creek location, which means its missing some essentials, such as plus size clothing. The shoes department is busy enough that you sometimes have to check in and add your name to a list, but that also means you get the attention you want without feeling rushed. Plenty of covered parking. My favorite department is the home section; they feature a ton of up and coming Austin artists goods.

Limited selection and inexperienced staff. One didnt know how to process an online return and she didnt even bother to go ask for help. I had to tell her to go get help because I had just done the exact transaction at another Nordstrom and it was possible. Another cashier didnt put my merchandise in a bag when I finished checking out. She just handed me the sunglasses in their box. I wasnt sure if it was the pay-for-your-own bag policy that the city of Austin may have had or she just didnt know the basic etiquettes of checking out.
