I really wish that there can be a negative star, because that is what this store deserves. I purchased two sofas on July 1st and was told that the delivery date was around the middle of July. I called a couple of days later to check the status, only found that the order could not be delivered until the end July. Since waiting a whole month is kind of absurd, I went to the store to cancel this order. I had thought the cancellation should be quite straightforward. After all, this is a delayed order and even an online unknown store can do that without a hassle. After talking with the sale person( who became a totally different one once she knew that I come to return instead of purchasing), I was told that the sofas were backordered and I need to pay 10% restock fee for a back-ordered item!!! I required to talk to the store manager, hoping that I can talk to a reasonable person. This manager let us wait for about 30 mins. When he finally went out, he was not only rude but also a professional lair. He said that since the sofa is a on-sale, any on-sale items in Ashely can be delayed and two weeks is actually normal, so I have to pay the restock fee!! He said all this have been clearly written in the flyer. Since I never saw this and never beed told by anyone during the purchase(on the contrary, I was told that I was free to cancel when I placed this order in store), I asked him to show us the flyer. Guess what? he could not even find this flyer in his own store, not a single copy! This is so disgusting, and I hated to have anything to do with such store. I canceled the order, and let this store take advantage of me. I lost around $150, but fortunately, I get to know what this store really is before I invest more money on it. More important, I can use my experience as an example to warn other people, so that this store can no longer take advantage of them.

I purchased a bedroom set from this company on 06/23/27 and was promised a delivery date of 06/29/17 , however when the delivery arrived it was only the mattress so I returned to the store to find out where the mix up was and was told I couldnt get the rest of the set until 07/14/17, after I received the remainder of my order the delivery staff dropped and broke my dresser , scratched the paint off one of my nightstands , and damaged the bed rail. In the process of the delivery they dropped the dresser on my hard wood floor and damaged it,after the delivery I went to the store and spoke with the manager about everything that had occurred he stated to me that he would try and have my furniture expedited and he was send someone out to look at the damage to my floor,he also stated that he would call me with follow up, it is now a week later since my delivery and I still dont have the rest of my delivery i was told that I couldnt get it delivered until 08/04/17. After I was told of the new delivery date I returned to the store once more and spoke with the manager once again ,he was very rude and told me I just had to wait on my delivery so I stated I wanted to return what I had because with the damage to my floor and since it was taking so long for my furniture i l would rather go somewhere else and he rudely stated he wasnt taking it back and I just had to wait on it,with no response at all about my property damage. I have decided that I am going to do whatever I have to do legally about this ,no customer deserves to be treated like this. My first step is file a claim with the BBB, I will also be filing a claim about my floor. This is for most the worst experience ever. I encourage everyone never to buy from this company!

After Sale Service is Terrible. I ordered an adjustable bed and other items. My bed frame was on back order so the store offered me a free upgrade. Unfortunately the upgraded bed frame didnt fit. The delivery team knew that before they unboxed it so we sent it back. After a week of waiting we were confirmed with a second delivery for the new adjustable base. We took time off work for the 1P-5P delivery. The delivery arrived at 6PM and it was the same base that didnt fit the first time. On July 21st we received another adjustable base delivery. One delivery person said it would fit, the other said it wouldnt. I had them set it up and low and behold this is the 3rd time theyve delivered the "upgraded" base. I now have a bed that requires a catapult to get into. 37" high and 3 inch gaps all the way around. The adjustable base sits on the slats designed to protect the under bed storage so soon they will be in-operable. When I refused the 1st base I stopped in the store and after waiting for over an hour I was told by Manager Zedric that he would work on a new base, however, my mattress should not be supported by the bed slats alone so I should go to Lowes, buy plywood, cut it to support the mattress and he would reimburse me for the cost of the plywood. All calls since that point get me put on hold. I called corporate and they promised a fix. That was 2 weeks ago. Today there is no fix and a mysterious charge showed up on my account. Their corporate office seems about as concerned as this local store. Ill also add that if you read the reviews posted. Several of them sound like "canned" responses. I worked in retail, its not hard to drive positive reviews.

Do not shop here!! Look at the other similar complaints. There are several better furniture companies in Memphis. This is one of the worst stores. They were rude and disrespectful. I nevertheless did buy something and it was supposed to be delivered. Well guess what, I couldnt get it delivered. On the first occasion we agreed I would be home at a certain time to wait. The period of time was a 3 hour block in the middle of my work day. Guess what they call after during that period to tell me "sorry" your item never made it on the truck. After about 3 weeks we got it rescheduled. Well guess what, the same thing happens again. Now Im going around in circles trying to get a refund of my money. The employees and managers dont care. When you call corporate you spend 5 minutes pressing buttons to find the "right" department. That department then just puts you on hold until you decide to hang up the phone. I will post reviews to every review site I can about these unprofessional people.

Having a need for a reclining chair for my convalescence from shoulder surgery, I thought I would first try Ashley Home Store on Winchester Road in Memphis. After being greeted at the door by Everlina, I was escorted to see examples of the chairs that were available. I was very impressed with the selection of chairs that would fit my need and extremely pleased with the prices! After testing out two or three different chairs, I was able to make my decision. What was great was that from the time I walked into the store to the time I checked out and left was probably around thirty minutes! Everlina knew her business and was very helpful in helping me find my chair. I really thought that Ashley would be the first of several stops I would make that day before I found what I was looking for but that was just not the case. Ashleys had plenty to choose from and the price was where I wanted to be. It was that simple!
