If you are looking for the thrill and excitement that comes along with not knowing if you will ever receive what you purchased, this is the company for you! You can absolutely get a better price at other stores! Dont be fooled, do your research! I purchased a couch from American Freight on 3/1/2015. It was not in stock at the time of the purchase however I was given an estimated warehouse arrival date of 3/10/2015. On 3/30/2015 (1 week before I was to move and NEEDED the couch) I called the company because I had not heard from them to set up a time for delivery. I spoke with the store manager and asked when they would be able to deliver my couch. He stated that they had not received the couch, did not know when, if ever, they would receive it. I asked why I was not informed of this problem sooner. He simply said "well we will give you a $100.00 credit to look around our store". When I said I was no longer confident in their store and wanted my money refunded he said I would have to physically come into the store. American Freight has one location in all of Madison and it is a good 30 minute drive from me. I then attempted to call the companys Customer Service line. I was given the number for the regional manager. I contacted him and left a message. When I did not hear back from him but the end of the day I called the customer service line back and left a message for the woman in charge of company complaints. I left her ALL the details she requested. The regional manager finally called me back over 24 hours later. I told him about the situation and he said he would make a few phone calls and call me back in about 30 minutes. Neither the regional manager OR the companys complaint manager ever called me back! Thankfully I made the trip to the stores location to swipe my card. I cant speak to actually getting my money back at this time because it has not posted to my credit card yet. This company sold me a product they did not have, did not inform me that the product was no longer available until I called them, and has refused to return my phone calls as to what happened. At this time yes, I assume / hope my money will be refunded on to my credit card soon, this company has done the absolute bare minimum! They have failed completely at customer service and have taken NO responsibility for the issue. I would like to say that Slumberland was beyond helpful! They were able to quickly find me a great couch, and I will save over $100 on it compare to American Freight! On top of that I am confident I will get my couch on Saturday!

I will admit that you cant beat the prices here anywhere else. BUT Id rather have spent money elsewhere to receive better service. We ordered a living room set (sectional, ottoman, chair) from here over 2 months ago. We were told it would take about 3 weeks for delivery and we would have to pay for everything upfront. 3 weeks later I called to check the status and was told our furniture wasnt on the last delivery truck from the manufacturer.. so they told me 1 week.. after a week I was told 2 days.. after 2 days I was told another 3 weeks.. after 3 weeks I was told maybe another 3 weeks. Then I had enough and spoke to a manager, after about a 20 minute conversation he informed that the manufacturer is no longer continuing that product and thats the reason it hasnt got delivered to the store. He gave us the option to buy the floor model for $100 off which we went in that day to pick up.. Over a month and half of waiting and all it took was someone to put 5 minutes of their day into researching it a little bit and we could have had our furniture the day we purchased it. We still didnt have our chair or ottoman though so the manager assured us that he could get it transfered from the milwaukee store and it would only be a couple days. If that wasnt enough, we then ended up ordering a bedroom set that day since he also assured us that it could also be transfered with the chair and ottoman. Its been a month. Just called today and found out our chair is in but they are still working on finding the ottoman and bedroom set at another store to transfer since milwaukee didnt end up having it. "well keep working on it and keep you posted" - is what i was just told. i told her that was the same status as a month ago and asked her why we couldnt just ordered the bed set from the manufacturer which she then told me that it would be 2-4 weeks. soooo if we would have just done so in the first place instead of them trying to take on A responsibility we would have our stuff by now. and im sure it just take 5 minutes to see what stores have it or dont ..then place the order with store or the manufacturer based on yes or no. I keep finding myself using the word inadequate - fitting.

DO NOT! I repeat. DO NOT shop here. My family and I went here to get a new couch. We decided to splurge and get a recliner and kitchen table also. We said we only wanted the table if it was in stock. The sales guy said it was in stock but the box was damaged, but he assured me the table was ok. We paid for all of the pieces to be delivered that night. After they were delivered (delivery guys were very nice), we noticed there was a hole in the couch, the recliner didnt close properly, and the table not only was damaged, but there were no legs for the table. I called the next day because I was upset and told them I wanted to return everything. They said "nope, all sales are final". They did offer to replace them though. A week later we got a new couch and recliner, but its been three weeks now and still no table. Ive called three times in the last week and they keep telling me theyll deliver it in a couple days. Still, no delivery. This place does not care about customer service. Not once have they said they were sorry. Theyre just trying to make a quick buck. I should have known better when they have a sign hanging up saying "ALL SALES ARE FINAL". I know nothing will come of this, and some big wig will read what Ive wrote and respond with his usual "We completely understand your frustration and have passed your feedback to upper management and customer service to see how they can help get this resolved". Do yourself a favor, shop somewhere else.

Do not buy from AMERICAN FREIGHT STORES. DO NOT BUY SIMMONS HERE!!! Nothing but trouble since we got our couch. First, the arm fell apart within 3 months, totally collapsed!!! Called store and they told us we had to remove the dustcover and take photos and send them to the store. Called within 6 months, same ridiculous request! Called and talked to store manager and she was very immature, giggled about everything!!! Not business - minded at all. Then called regional manager and after 2 weeks of talking with him when he said he would take care of it and we would get our sofa exchanged, he called and said he could not do anything. PLUS...when we bought the sofa, we were TOLD WE HAD TO BUY THE EXTRA WARRANTY Otherwise NOTHING WOULD BE COVERED!!! WELL, WE TOLD THEM THAT AND THEY DID NOTHING and said that warranty only covered stains! I WOULD GIVE THEM 0 STARS IF THIS ALLOWED!!! NOW WE ARE LEFT WITH A BROKEN COUCH THAT COST $600, warranty and all and on top of that we have had it just over a year now and the UPOHLSTERY IS STARTING TO WEAR AND WE COVER THE COUCH. DON"T BUY SIMMONS!!! ACCORDING TO AMERICAN FREIGHT, SIMMONS IS THE ONE WHO DECIDED NOT TO HONOR OUR WARRANTY OR REPLACE COUCH. AMERICAN FREIGHT = REALLY BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE AND THEY CON YOU INTO BUYING WORTHLESS WARRANTIES. SPEND YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY ELSEWHERE!!! YOU CANNOT GET QUALITY FURNITURE OR SERVICE AT AMERICAN FREIGHT!!!!
