No service, just stand and wait. I counted 9 employees in the store one waiting on customers, 2 at the registers, 4 huddled at the end of an isle talking, one looking at merchandise on the floor and a manager that says he will be right with you (15 min later he has joined the 4 at he end of the isle for the bull session). Great merchandise and lots of it, high prices and even when I decided to pay it after two days (Sunday and Monday Night over 45 minutes each time) of waiting with no help just a take a number stub stand and wait. I confronted the manager on the way out in the bull session and he said he would now wait on me. When I got in line the number was #53 being waited on I drew #56 and I pointed to the board that was on #54 and told him he still needed to help #55 Next. He chased me to the parking lot saying he would now offer help. This store is amazing it stays in business. This is my third time with a similar experience, most going back to management; this proves it does not take much to succeed in this day and age. Its managers are simply the bottom of the barrel. Staff have been confrontational and rude, but some are helpful if you get the right one. If you need a shirt they are ready for you. Anything else that requires service pack a lunch, bring a lawn chair and prepare to be ignored, while the staff dilly-dallies. Waste of a good location for a sporting goods store.

I have lived in the Turkey Creek Area for a decade, I was thrilled when Gander was opening. As I entered the store was impressed with the lay out and all the outdoor items. I made my way to the Fire Arms area to view the handguns. It was early after noon so not a lot of people in there I was the only person at the counter after 4 minutes of staring thru the glass at handguns no one had approached me for anything. Another customer approached was greeted immediately and offered help. Kind of left me wondering great here we go just cause i dont look like a local i get no help, 20 min go by no help. I left the store, I come back 2 months later about the same process but this time after 20 min a reluctant employee asked if i could be given some assistance. I asked a couple of questions regarding Glocks, berrettas and others. Thanked the man for the help. Came back a year later with intent to buy cash in hand. after about 30 minutes with my son standing by the case 2 customers were attended and the associates made them selfs busy talking about who was going to break at what times. We left and headed another gun dealer purchased my gun ammunition, we were attended the 1st time stepping foot into store with a smile and a new friend to come back to for help. I was not impressed by gander and its lack of customer service way of picking and choosing their customers.

Searched online for a product, chose to drive to this store location. Their website said they had 1-3 of the item. I went into the store, and asked where they kept the generators. I went to that section, and did not find what I was looking for out on display. I then asked a sales associate for help finding the product. He was a very timid 20-something. He basically wasted my time for a half hour while he waiting for answers on a headset. I asked if they checked the actual store stock computer. I later found out from a manager, who was just as unhelpful, that the first sales associate did not check a stock computer, or check in with him. I never actually saw the manager check a stock computer. Why lie to me? I was attempting to locate and purchase a $1000 Honda EU2000i Companion generator. No one could explain to me why this item wasnt in the store, yet their website stated it was. Actually at this writing a day later, it still shows in stock. Ive never had much luck with the individuals working in this store. Its a very odd group as a whole, which probably does have some exceptional employees, but the rest are worthless. I do not recommend doing business with this store.

I see many bad reviews about the gun department on here. Ive always had a good experience with associates! I found the gun manager to be dispicable, and insulting without an ounce of professionalism. Very rude exchange with this gentleman who identified himself as the gun counter manager. Store manager wake up the number system is not working. I watched 8 people shake there heads and leave in a 20 min time period and i myself have left frustrated on numerous occasions. Its really very simple. You assign one guy for rifles and one or two for pistols to do nothing but show people firearms and a third or fourth associate to roam and handle background checks sales and special orders, this person can assist with showing weapons when purchases arent taking place. If its not busy these same people can be selling firearm accessories. Do your stocking at night like every other store on the planet, focus on serving your customers first. I doubt ill ever go back to this location after the way i was spoken to.

Poor customer service and this wasnt the first time I have experienced this at this store. Go in after work with the intention of buying a gun. They are not very busy, I might add. I take a number and wait while two employees talk to the same guy about this gun. Laughing and just having a good time. There were a couple of different guys going in and out the door behind the counter atleast one with a orange vest, I assume a manager of sorts. Anyway still waiting probably 15 minutes by this time, no problem right because I am just browsing around. After nearly 30 minutes I just put down the other things that I had picked up to buy and left. You know their price was a little cheaper, but I would rather pay a little more at a place where the employees are interested in helping you and actually making a sell instead of a place where I am looked over. I normally dont write reviews, but as I mentioned this wasnt the first time or even the third time. It will be the last time though.

I have tried on many occasions to shop successfully in this store but so far out of about seven visits I have had two that were successful with regard to getting what I went for. Neither of those required any assistance however, the other visits I have made did require assistance, which for the most part, I was unable to get. I have went in there on three different occasions to buy a particular firearm and each time I have had to wait in line for service that I never received. I have ended up making those purchases from varied competitors in our area. There is and has never been adequate provision of carts necessary for handicapped people and the one they have is either always dead or in need of service. I have long since stopped visiting the site because it became obvious after a number of visits that customer service was not a priority nor was employing people with a working knowledge of the products they were dealing with.
