If you are looking for a great outdoor clothing and backpacking shop, don’t miss the opportunity to check out Woodlands Edge on the Square in Downtown Dahlonega (next door to Crimson Moon). They have an excellent line of gear by the top of the line outdoor product manufacturers, including: Patagonia, Mountain Hardware, Lowa, Big Agnes, Lafuma, Thermarest, MSR, Granite Gear, MountainSmith, Gregory, Camelback, Keen, Merrell, Montrail, and Columbia (did I leave anybody out?). I have purchased numerous pieces of backpacking gear at this shop and have found it to be a cool place to stop in for a visit. It’s also about the only place I know in North Georgia that stocks and sells Lowa boots. Thanks for your excellent service!

I have visited this numerous times over the past 5 years. They do have a complete line of backpacking stuff and I always try to buy from local stores. Every time I have been in the store the staff has been extremely unfriendly. Dont even ask to go upstairs to browse because they will either say no or ask what you want, and then say no. I buy a lot of gear but I will not buy from this store again. They make me feel that they are doing me a favor by being there.

and am so glad I did. Loved the smell of the woodsmoke incense and really enjoyed the uniqueness of this little store. Bought a beautiful barnboard picture frame set on a piece of driftwood which is truly a one of a kind piece made by a local artist. If you like western house decor, or woodlands items, this place is definitely worth a visit.

The staff is very friendly and their selection of gear has everything I have ever needed. Woodlands Edge is a prime example the many advantages of a small town shop as opposed to a large nation wide chain.
