went in yesterday looking for 2 rifles for the wife , 1 brush gun 30-30 which she already saw and liked , another synthetic stock rifle in .243 or 7mm08 . after finding what fit her . we told the guy that she would take both . he wouldnt do this , he insisted one goes to her and one would have to go to me ? WTH !!!! . neither gun was for me , why would i put a gun in my name thats for someone else ? i was only there to make sure she got a good gun and a good deal . so they lost out on 750+ dollar sale , and we went to dawsonville gun , and got the same 2 guns for 100 dollars cheaper , with no nonsense . and now she is happy . i wont go here again , what happened was uncalled for . very unprofessional

being a pretty particular person as far as any of my personal equipment goes and especially so with my hunting gear, I searched very long and hard to find a good shop to tune my Mathews bow and help me to improve my bow shooting. What I found much to my surprise, was Out Door Depot. These folks in my estimation are just plain great, absolutely no attitudes here!! They Patrick, and Ryan in the bow dep. are as nice as they are knowlegable, and they certainly appreciate your business, they are forthcumming with any info you may ask of them holding nothing back. If you are like quality as I do, you will not find a better place to have your bow tuned!! Thanks Patrick and Ryan

Outdoor Depot is absolutely the best. I live in Nashville, TN, but I have my bow worked on at the Outdoor Depot when I am home to see my parents. You will simply not find a friendlier, more knowledgable, staff anywhere. I used to go see the archery guys when they were at Shulers, but after Shulers closed, I followed them to Outdoor Depot. Same great service, same excellent craftmanship. I have absolutely zero tolerance for attitudes and incompetence, both of which I have encountered at some outdoor shops around Gainsville. Although these guys have years more experience than me in both hunting and archery, they always treat me respectfully and always make it a point to thank me for my business.

Wow... great people. Took a pistol in to have a scope mounted and bore sighted. Expected to pay for it. The man tells me no charge. Couldnt believe it. The pistol nor the scope was purchased there. Did buy a box of Hornady 45.70 rounds from them 2 weeks earlier. First round out of the box was a squib. They are now going to figure out how to get it fixed for me. Either fix it in house or send it to a shop. I am very impressed with the service quality that these guys have. They had no obligation to mount the scope or fix the stuck bullet, but are willing to help.

To cut to the chase, as we say around here in the South, You aint goin to beat this Outdoor Store ( The Outdoor Depot in Gainesville, GA ) in any aspect of the Outdoor Retail Business. As a Business Owner myself, I know you are only as good as the people who work for you, and Patrick, Judge, and everyone to keep it short are the best in the Business. I would put this staff up against any Outdoor Retailer any where in the USA. I have hunted in many states and been in many Outdoor Retailers, Private and Publicly owned these guys are the best Period!!!!!!!!!!!!

I shop around before buying, and this place merited a review compared to every other gun shop Ive been in. The guns are just scattered in a display case and banged around. The store is a mess, and very overpriced. There wasnt a single gun there that wasnt at least $50 cheaper at every other gun store in town, including the gun store next door. The associates are also not very knowledgeable or helpful. I will buy at better stores with better prices.

Met with Patrick today to put a new serving on my Jackal crossbow. Wow! What an upgrade from factory. Not only does Patrick know his stuff, hes a super nice guy as well. To top it off, the cost was more than reasonable. If I have any future crossbow needs, I know who to go to.

They have a good selection of stuff but the prices are outrageous. Im not paying 7 dollars for 50 rounds of cheap 22 or 63 for 1000 small rifle primers, but they do have a good selection of powder which is hard to come by
