Beyond the shadow of a doubt WORST MALL I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED! 1) Far too many vacant units not leased! A pure sign of changing times in customers shopping habits, yes. But equally an even clearer sign of how naive & unthinking management is! God gave us 100% brainpower, right. Well, like most corporate idiots mall management here is doing the same as other mall management teams in ONLY USING 80%.......VERSUS......using the extra 20% to simply & easily "THINK OUTSIDE THE FREAKING BOX" ! Thats what conference rooms & meetings & weekend conferences are for! SPARK SOME DARN INGENUITY in making incentive-based promo offers to NUMEROUS TYPES of businesses to join your malls client base. Dont just sit back and let some obviously TOO NAIVE TO BE BELIEVABLE customers dictate what businesses remain in the mall. For Christs Sake! At some point in its history this mall had its heyday, I recall. But returning to this area some 20-30 yrs later you wouldnt EVEN think that! Customers stroll around its interior just out of pure boredom wondering what else is there to do! Some customers appear to be enjoying a meal or company of friends but even the friends look bored! EGADS! Is all I could think! How truly sickening from an industry point of view. JC Pennys with its slew if financial issues in years past WILL NOT & CANNOT save this sinking ship of a behemoth sized property! Same goes for the now fledgling SEARS stores! So what does the future for this mall entail? THINK TITANIC. IF.....IF mall management diesnt get their heads screwed on right and stop prancing around like gilded lilys in a dying forest this mall will most assuredly continue to FAIL in bringing in increased profits for the next 10 yrs at least! Then it will cave! Having been a retail specialist for decades it seems + with my Management Consulting/Marketing/Advertising/P.R. & Sales background & education I surely see how to not only revive this mall and make it a truly profitable center of Kingsport but I also see how to make it a most favorite to die for destination in every family in this REGION. But considering I am not in touch with management and retired that is not likely to occur. So management best get some new blood and put their crusty, stodgy old management style to bed......permanently. The current roster of businesses is clearly not nearly adequate for the needs of todays customer base at this mall or even in nearby malls. Heck, THE PINNACLE at least has the right idea going with some mistakes of course. But for now, theyre raking in the dough! Hey, management! Cyah Wouldnt Wanna Byah

This place used to be really great. But in recent years it has totally gone downhill. New management came in and they did clean the place up a little but there are still stains all over the floors and most of the shops are gone. Theres just not much to do there anymore. Most of the food places are gone, too. I will say that some of the reviews here mention the movie theater closing down. That was true, but they just reopened a new one so there are at least some movies still playing.

The new mall rules of conduct do not promote family environment at all. In fact, no one at the mall tonight. Those who are are in the movies. No longer welcome: groups of more than 2, teenagers unless chaperoned, and if you are just walking around, you are subject to banishment if not spending $. Really wanted to take kids to the new movie theater but I would rather go to the Pinnacle instead, where groups are welcome to enjoy the theater without harassment from mall security.

The KIngsport Mall does not seem to be doing well. There are some gems in there including the Italian village, the nutty java, American Cookie Company, locally owned bookstore, and the Frank theater. Overall theres a feeling of impending decline especially with the Sears closing. I think they need to perhaps look at offering some attractive rates for local businesses to try to drum up some new, fresh tenants. Id hate to see the mall fall too far into decline.

Older indoor mall. It has lost alot of its stores, and the movie theater closed. Very few eateries. No food court. Has escalator or stairs to reach second floor. Restrooms on lower level only. Plenty of parking. Convenient location. Needs updating. Hopefully remodeling will be done soon. Would really like the movie theater back. Once was a thriving mall. Now almost dead, especially since the theater closed.

It is sad what has happened to this place. Used to be a great mall. Its starting to look like older Kingsport Mall I remember when I was younger. All it had was a movie theater, Hills department store and maybe 2 small stores. Hopefully a company will invest some money in this mall and turn it back around. Oh and nobody who lives here calls it Kpt Town Center lol...it will always be Fort Henry Mall.

ROACHES the size of the average thumb! We saw multiple roaches in the hallway where the bathrooms are beside Victorias Secret! WHICH IS RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE RESTAURANTS! (Except Italian Village & Perkins area) Not many open stores anymore but they seem to be updating it AND HOPEFULLY BRING IN A EXTERMINATOR while theyre ripping everything up!! Hopefully itll bring more life to the mall again.

Very few stores, new owners seem to be finally investing some money. It is home to one of the best pizzerias you will ever eat at if you like pizza. But shopping as a whole, the options are poor. Stores that look like they belong in a flea market or the mountain mall in Gatlinburg. It has a Belk, JC Penney and an American Eagle, thats about it.

I grew up in the area and Ive been going to this mall my whole life. Right now it seems as though almost half the stores are shut down. I know the movie theater is supposed to be leaving shortly as well. Its under new management and Im optimistic that they will turn things around. At least I hope they do.

Aside from the current construction happening inside the mall, there are very limited stores, no food court, only bathrooms are on the lower level and they are old and smell funky. I like the idea of getting all my shopping done in one stop, but this is not the place to get that done.

Only good place is a few stores and the movie theatre. They are seriously lacking with stores and only have 2-3 places in the food court. The JC mall has twice as many stores and a huge food court with the indoor trampoline things! Forget Kingsport mall shopping - go to JC.

This is an older indoor shopping mall. I prefer them to these newer strip malls. This one, better known as Fort Henry Mall, was once a good mall at one time, but is in need of a total renovation. It is scheduled for just that. If they do it, ratings will improve.

overall great experience. People there are very friendly and professional. wondering if the security officer is enforcing the loitering laws because I see a lot of people hanging outside the doors and that makes me uncomfortable. otherwise would have given 5 stars.

There are several good, popular stores that you can expect to be in almost any mall (e.g American Eagle, Victorias Secret, etc) and even a movie theatre. However, it hasnt been seeing much patronage recently and several store fronts are just empty and closed up.
