I wanted to write an update on the review I wrote below. After posting my review, I was contacted by Katie, and she reassured me that the office has since implemented new tactics to shorten wait time for patients. They also, at my request, refunded my copay. I believe that this was only fair, and I want to send my sincere gratitude for following up. ********************************************************************** After being diagnosed with pink eye, my primary physical referred me to Loden Eye Vision in Goodlettsville. Upon driving up, the place was huge, clean, and I was immediately impressed. However, my experience following arrival was not as pleasant. I am a single woman, 31 years old, and I pay for my own insurance. A $60 copay is fine with me, if I receive great care. The office had called me the day before to ask if I would be there early to fill out paperwork, as a new patient. For my 3PM appointment, I arrived at 2:45PM and noticed only 4 cars in the parking lot. I was not called up to pay and deliver my paperwork (which I had filled out at home, prior to arriving, to save time) until 3:15PM. From there, I was not called in to see a doctor until 4PM. And from there, I was not seen until 4:15PM. All the while, none of the staff, not even the doctor, apologized or even acknowledged the fact that they were running an hour and 15 minutes late for my appointment, which lasted about 4 minutes. Frustrated, my mother who was in town visiting and with me, asked the doctor point blank if there was a reason for their tardiness. Dr. Sofranko responded by saying that we should tell someone up front in the office about it because sometimes HE waits for patients to come back. He did not seem too concerned with our wait time at all, but rather a bit bothered by the lack of communication among the staff that he works with. A nurse then took us to the front and said that she would bring this up to the office manager, Katie. Katie did not end up being there, so this nurse insisted that she would let Katie know, have Katie call me, and apologized, saying that the wait time was unacceptable. That all happened three days ago. I have not heard from the office Manager that I was promised would "absolutely contact me". I was unimpressed with the nurses, the doctor, and the lack of follow up. There was one lady, Tracy, who worked on the floor and spoke with us about glasses and the industry in general. She was WONDERFUL! All other aspects of this office are things I would not want to encounter again. My time is very valuable to me, and sitting around for more than an hour without as much as an "Im sorry we are running behind" is unacceptable. I also work hard for my money, so paying for this experience is something Ill never do again. Hopefully this review will help the office to make some changes. It is an honest review.

As a pastor of 43 years Ive experienced and witnessed some amazing things. God works miracles, even today! Miracles are not magic. Some of them occur by supernatural means. Many of them are done as men whom God has given amazing minds and understanding and skills do what they do for the good of others. I had a disease in my cornea called fugues dystrophy. Over a number of years my vision became more and more impaired. I went to see Dr. Terrence Doherty at Lodens Vision Centers. When my fugues got bad enough that surgery was warranted, Dr. Doherty did the surgery. First, the right eye and just 6 weeks later, the second eye. This surgery is a graft of donee tissue to replace the diseased tissue caused by fugues. Literally, I had new eyes! After years of seeing everything distorted by fugues dystrophy--colors fading, huge burst and halos around light and reflections, distorted appearance of people and everything else, not being able to read a book without SUPER GIANT print, difficulties with Iphones or any other electronic device, fear of driving, etc., etc--I now have the eyes of a 25 year old!! To me, this is absolutely a miracle!! Dr. Doherty and Lodens are absolutely awesome!! I can read everything on my iPhone! I can read any Bible! I can read the words in the hymnals at church! Colors are crisp and clear! I can see! I feel like the fellow in John 9, "I was blind, but now I see!" If your struggling with your vision you owe to yourself to come to Lodens and get it checked out. You may be missing a miracle!

Ive been in glasses/contacts since lower elementary, so I dont remember anything else. I was told by a former eye doctor about 10 years ago that I should never get LASIK due to my astigmatism. I never looked into it much after that. I had started becoming intolerant to contacts: dry eyes, itching, only able to wear 1 type of contact. My eye doctor late last year said I was a "maybe" for LASIK and to try a consultation. I researched everything about LASIK for a few weeks and decided that I wanted Dr. Loden. After testing (I was told it was 40 tests!!) I found out I was a strong candidate. I just had my procedure done yesterday and my eye with astigmatism is 20/20. It has never been 20/20 even corrected with glasses/contacts. My other eye is better than 20/20. I wish I had done this before having my babies. I ended up having to have C-sections, which require you to remove your contacts. Also, all those late night feedings would have been so much easier. My outcome is a direct reflection of the skill level of Dr. Loden and his staff. The staff is extremely professional, calming, and genuinely care. Thanks again guys! I give LASIK a 20/20. :)))

I am 27 years old and have been wearing glasses since I was 7 and contacts since I was 8. I am not exaggerating when I say I could not read anything past 5-6 inches from my face. I had my surgery less than 24 hours ago and this morning, I drove myself to my post-op appointment without contacts or glasses! Words cannot express my gratitude to Dr. Loden and his incredible staff. It took me about a month under his care to get my eyes healthy enough to have surgery and they have been extremely helpful, patient, and sweet through the whole experience. I cannot say enough good things!!! Having Dr. Loden perform my surgery was the BEST decision I have ever made! I seriously have never been this excited in my life! I was there less than 2 hours and the actual procedure itself took no more than 15 minutes. I know everyones experience is different, but I have had VERY little discomfort (almost not even worth mentioning). Its truly incredible. If you are considering LASIK, I highly, highly recommend Dr. Loden or one of his associates. I promise, you will not be disappointed! Thank you Dr. Loden for changing my life!

This experience was wonderful and super easy. The pre-op appointments were simple and easy to complete. When I comes to the surgery itself, it is truly easy and fast. The experience is very strange as expected. I didnt feel but a little pressure during the creation of the flap. Dr. Loden was calming and constantly telling me what to do and reassuring me that I was doing well. The preceedure was quick and virtually painless. I was out in recovery in no time at all. The numbing drops relieved the pain. I could already see signs once I exited the building! The first three hours or so after the surgery is the most uncomfortable you will be. It is a burning, scratchy, and itchy feeling but it is nothing too overwhelming by any means. The recommendation of Loden Vision Centers is just to sleep it off which I did. Once I woke up three or so hours later I could already notice a sense of relief. All and all this was an easy virtually painless process and surgery. I would recommend Loden Vision Centers and this operation for anyone who wants good stable results.
