I have always been a big supporter of local bead stores, and Beach Beads and Glass was delightful to "get lost in," much to my friends chagrin! Those who are not beaders can never really understand the joys of spending an afternoon at your local bead store, checking out new items that may have just come in, running your hands gleefully through the trays and trays of beads, getting a feel for a particular style and type. Yes, beaders are very tactile people, we experience our world through touch. If something doesnt feel quite right, it doesnt matter what color it is, the bead wont be of use. Local glass shops, like the lovely Beach Beads allows you to browse all you wish before making your final decision. I highly recommend the store if youre a beader like me!

A friend and I discovered this delightful store/studio when were vacationing in Myrtle Beach in October of 2012. Throughout the next year we both placed orders online and Heather shipped our orders out very promptly. In October of 2013 we were back for another vacation and this time took a class from Heather. She let us pick what we wanted and did the class just for the 2 of us. I have since ordered from her many times - she and her husband Chad are wonderful people, charming, talented, and a delight to work with. There are lots of amazing hand-made beads - Heather and Chad both make them. Chad also makes hand formed marbles, paperweights, and glass eggs. If youre a beader, and youre anywhere near Surfside, SC (just south of Myrtle), dont miss a stop here!

I love this place so much and have purchased so much jewelry as well as mad a few items with pieces I have gotten. Heather is wonderful and really enjoys enteracting with her students as well as shoppers. I try to make it by here every time I come to Myrtle Beach. Highly recommend for unique gifts as well as classes.
