We have come here on vacation twice now in December for a family get away and more time on the beach. Let me not leave out the fantastic shopping experience at the Tanger Outlet Myrtle Beach Highway 17 while getting in some pavement time which is always a plus, when you want to also increasing your steps. There is plenty of parking and at night the area has ample lighting. The restrooms were clean and can easily be located throughout the Outlet. This is my second trip to this Outlet and I love this Outlet!! There are so many stores and great deals that you grab. I love the Carter’s, Coach, Adidas, Michael Kors and Old Navy and so many more. This year the deals at Old Navy we didn’t find as great, for some reason, and my daughter wasn’t too happy about the selection. The customer service was great, upon arrival greeted with a smile, helpful and very pleasant and they also made suggestions for similar items or checked to see if those items were available. I also researched to find if there were other offers as an AARP member, AAA member and government employee and daughter of a Veteran. To my surprise they do offer free coupon books to Military, AARP member, AAA/CAA member as well Hometown Police, Fire and EMTs. My only suggestion is that there is a sign listed around the outlet advising customer about this great deal.

I recently shopped at Tanger Outlets on Rt 17 in Myrtle Beach and had a great experience with the exception of one store. I went into The Childrens Place and noticed there were signs in the store indicating everything was $12.99 or under. Some of the displays had signs indicating $6.99 or under. I was selecting swimsuits for my grandsons from the $6.99 display and also observed the rack had beach sandals as well. I picked out two pair (one blue and one gray). After making my purchase, I was checking my receipt and noticed I was charged $9.99 and not $6.99 as the sign stated. I returned to the store only to be met with rudeness. While I was speaking to the manager, she told me the shoes that are $6.99 are clearance but the others are not even though they look exactly the same except color. I pointed out to her that the sign on the shelf indicates $6.99 and probably at the very least the shoes should be moved as to not cause confusion with customers. That is when a clerk behind the counter spoke up and said all of our other customers know that if it has a red tag it is clearance. The manager only said "I;m sorry" and said nothing else. Very poor customer service in my experience.

First I must admit that I do not shop at Tanger Outlet that often. I do order must of my clothes on line from Zara, Bexley, and Ted Baker and when I travel I purchase my clothes when I am larger cities. Tanger Outlets do not have do not have a enough higher end brand stores. My reason for shopping at Tanger is Calvin Klein. I do go to the the Coach store to look at the mens product but they have a very limited variety. When Tanger had the mens Coach store I was a loyal shopper and since they left I know purchase all my mens Coach shoes, bags from Florida stores when traveling. What a shame that Tanger Outlet cannot attract higher end brands to come to Myrtle Beach. There is a market of people that want to buy nice clothes that live here. Not everyone wants cheap made clothes that are marketed only for the jr buyer. I look forward to traveling to Tangers outlet competitor because they have brands like, Armani, Prada, Mens Coach stores, and the Ralph Lauren stores have more selection. Myrtle Beach Tanger Outlet PLEASE try to get some bigger name in to the outlet stores.

As I had the opportunity to shop with no kids, no husband, and a few dollars,I was so excited to get shopping. The outlet is huge, clean and has plenty of friendly places to sit ,rest, eat,get a snack or plan your attack. The sales were outrageous, and they made choosing within my budget and needs too hard. But it was fun. I did receive a free coupon booklet and several stores were on a list to provide customers with 25% additional off the price. Those stores did not honor this coupon, and most i shopped in didnt have a coupon in the book. I did walk out of those that refused to take the coupon, and moved on. I found a store that was so friendly in all aspects of retail sales I spent most of my money there. All in all it was a very pleasant afternoon, got plenty of friendly conversation, and shoes, and dresses, and tops and pretzels with cheese to dip in. Which was HARD because I had Sooo many bags. Lolo I prefer the outlet on Hwy. 17, to the 1 on Hwy 501 due to the type of stores and attitudes of associates in those stores, less shade also in tbe summer.

Really, really like to shop the Tanger Outlets but this one was undergoing renovation when we were there on 8-20-17. Guest Services and the Food Court were a mess - the Mens Bathroom had been turned over to the Women and the Mens Room was great big fancy Port-A-Potty outside. There were not as many stores open for business as normal. My husband sweetly goes with me whenever I visit any of the Tanger Outlets but there is nothing there for him. He does not play golf, the electronics store is a joke - just expensive remote control airplanes and cars and there is nothing else for men. Get a real electronic store with computers and gadgets, Put a tool store with with DeWalt, Kobalt, Rockwell or Hitachi tools in it. Also, consider what you hand out as rewards to Tanger Club members; I can only use so many tote bags. Gift cards for the stores are nice but you only get them at certain levels. I hope that this Tanger will be better on my next visit.

We always go when in Myrtle Beach!!! I love the stores and really love the coupon offers!! For the occasional outlet shopper such as myself, it is VERY worthwhile to enroll in the free shoppers clubs such as the one offered by Vanity Fair!! Give an email address and get a percentage off your purchase!! Also, I joined before I came down and received the Tanger Outlet card for $10.00!! It was definitely worth the money! 25% off coupons were usable in many of the stores and I was able to grab some great deals!! My family and I loved the Hwy 17 set of stores over the 501 set because of the overhead covering. It kept things cooler. The only complaint that I have is that you have to get there early because the parking at 17 is tough by 11 in the morning. Otherwise, this place is even better than the outlets around my hometown in Philly!!

I live in an area close to this Tanger Outlet location and, thus, have many opportunities to shop there. By and large, I truly enjoy my various shopping experiences there. However, as with many organizations, theres at least one "bad apple" in the the bunch and it (Michael Kors/particularly their management) has somewhat dampened my enthusiasm for giving this Tanger location more than four stars. On the other hand, such stores as Under Armour, Coach, Kate Spade, Oakley Vault, etc. sure do provide quality shopping (including very good customer service and pricing). Overall, with the exception of patronizing the Michael Kors store, I would definitely recommend this Tanger location for someone looking for a positive and enjoyable shopping experience.
