I scanned my Food Lion card for a family ahead of me in line on Easter eve 2010. They were from Michigan and they saved about $10. The cashier said that was a nice thing to do. I then accidently left these (spare keys) on the counter and then drove home to North Carolina on Easter. Everyone was friendly that I talked to over the phone and they confirmed that they indeed had my keys. Mary, in particular, took my problem on as her own and dropped my keys into an envelope and then took them to the Post Office. They got to me the next day! Now that was a nice thing to do! We shop at this Food Lion every year when we come down for Spring Break and we think the store has great prices and great service. If you are in there sometime, say "Hello from Michael (of the lost keys)! ".

Staff isnt super friendly, but if I ever have a question about where something is they are nice enough. The place is always really neat and clean. Selection is very good, though the layout doesnt make much sense (I end up crisscrossing the store a couple times most everytime I come). The prices are awesome and comparable to a certain supercenter. My biggest issue is this is not a very safe area and vagrants can usually be found hanging around, that mixed with the fact the parking lot is pretty dark makes me very uneasy. They should add more lights to the lot, shoo off loiterers, and update the layout, then it would be even better. But seriously be careful here at night!

Great selection. Very friendly and helpful employees. Fresh produce at great prices. The market is top notch! Very friendly guys working that department always willing to go out of there way to make sure Im satisfied. Choice steaks, cut to my specification, makes my BBQ the envy of the neighborhood. Wether youre local, or just visiting, this is the place to shop. Ive found it has better deals and pricing than any other store in myrtle beach.

Store has a decent selection and youll be able to find what you need for normal to above prices...but our cashier was ridiculous. Rude as could be, kept asking every employee that walked by if she could leave for lunch, then ended up walking away mid-checkout! We had to stand there and wait for 10 minutes until they were able to track her down and unlock the register so we could finish our checkout. Will not go back.

About 5% of the food I get here is rotten a day or two after I get it home. Some is even spoiled the day of. Im talking about hermetically sealed refrigerated stuff well within the expiration date that must have just been left sitting out on a pallet in back. Dont trust the "fresh" produce either. Especially berries.

Parking is always good. Produce section is above average. My better half shops Walmart and is always surprised to find that many times the Lion is more cost effective. I believe they have a pleasant combination of items for those of us who live here and those of you who are just visiting!
