I cried inside to leave here...this was the most amazing grocery store I have ever been to (then again, I dont travel a HUGE amount). Everywhere, meticulous attention to detail - visually pleasing and amazingly varied assortment of produce. I just couldnt believe how fresh the fruits were. We were staying in a hotel so, couldnt do much with the produce given the limited size of our fridge, but it too looked amazing - like something out of the garden of Eden. I swear their organic raspberries taste better than anything Ive ever eaten since childhood. Didnt get anything from the bakery, but everything there looked amazing - could not believe how many little artistically crafted, but still healthy looking cakes and cookies there were there. The sausage section and yogurt sections were incredible - Ive never seen SUCH a variety of organic options - there must have been 20 different types of organic yogurt alone. Didnt go to the cheese section but it looked huge from a distance. Left back home today (3 hours away), contemplating if it might be worth the drive to come back up and get our food from here, but, alas, its probably not economical. I cant believe anyone would review this under 5 stars. I would imagine our grocery stores down here in South Carolina would be on the negative scale, by that standard.

We shop at whole foods a lot. But now we plan on going other places for some things. We use to get a lot of things from the bulk bins and store them at our house in air tight containers. One day, after we used it, We saw moths through out the container. We looked at all the containers and saw moths in a few but not all. So we stopped buying things from the bulk bins. Now we had bought some fresh broccoli from the store and it has bugs throughout it. When we bought it, we tied the bag shut after putting it in the bag at the store. We put it in our fridge and when we took it out to cut it up, we saw a lot of bugs. Im not sure what kind they are but I do not want that kind of extra protein. We did try to wash them off but they would not come off. I know that they will take back the stuff you buy and give you money back or new. But when your in the process of making dinner and have a dinner plan and this happens, you dont have time to run to the store and get new stuff. I know nothing will come of this review but I just thought it might help someone that shops at whole foods and have people take a closer look at what you are buying. I also wonder if anyone has had problems like this.

What an amazing group of thoughtful and professional staff at the Whole Foods in Cary, NC. I live out of town and not once but each time I call and ask for help they go WAY above and beyond what I ask for and make it one of the BEST shopping experiences, both with customer service and with the quality & speciality of items purchased. I was once again in a jam-this time on Mothers Day. The gift I had ordered was no where to be found and I was in the Dog house. I live in San Francisco, but my mom lives in Cary down the street. So I called up to ask if there was any way for them to help me create an amazing mothers day gift basket, ON MOTHERS DAY. They did just that! They assisted me and helped pick out each item from flowers, bath salts , chocolates, face/body cream, wine, rosewater spray ( moms favorite) and other goodies all put it all together for me in a beautiful gift basket. The staff, management always comes through and with creativity and smile deliver far beyond my expectations. Thank you Whole Foods Cary for being my angel and saving the day, once again! Sincerely pleased and mom was delighted, Trish Foulke

I went to the store to buy a bottle of wine today. Ive been in the United States for last 9 years with a legal visa and a passport. The cashier was in doubt taking my foreign passport as an ID because its not issued in the USA. He took my ID to the other side of store to ask someone about it, thats my only ID and most important form of ID here and he could just take it without my permission. He explained passports are mostly acceptable only it its issued in America. So I guess I shouldnt buy any drinks in this store because I dont have any IDs issued from the States. I never had issues in the past, but this store was the only one and I truly regret that I made a purchase in that store.

While I LOVE this whole foods for their local food, milk, cheese and other items, DO NOT eat from their hot bar. Their food is never good, and usually lukewarm at best. I dont think they realize that you have to STIR the food to maintain a safe temperature AND you need to test the temperature regularly. It is always spotty - some bites are warm others are downright cold or lukewarm, which frankly can be dangerous for your health because it encourages unsafe bacterial growth. For that reason, I will buy their groceries but do not feel I can buy food from their hot bar safely.

POOR Customer Service. I was told by a Bakery sales person on Saturday that only 24 hours notice was required to get Vegan cupcakes (small and large) and when we asked for an order form there were no order forms available. When I called on Thursday to order for a Sunday p/u I was told by the baker she needed 72 hours notice ! Either their staff do not communicate or they do not need the business. Then I was told to call the Raleigh store which I did and was told they only make the large cupcakes (because they dont have small pans in their store). Very frustrating.

I love Whole Foods for all the odd and strange things I cant find anywhere else. And their produce, although usually expensive, is beautiful. Im grateful that they have so many gluten-free options, I was able to make stuffing at Thanksgiving with gluten-free bread crumbs. I appreciate the staff in the supplement section, they are knowledgeable. One fellow in particular is always there when I am and hes given me an education about gut flora and probiotics. I deducted one star just because they are very expensive.

They have a hot and cold bar along with a deli where they can heat those items for you and it’s great for lunch or a quick dinner. Food ranges from Vegan to Carnivore. Sometimes they forget to put up the info, so just ask. They have an eating area inside and outside or you can take it to go. The shopping is fine but the store on Wade is better. The area is competitive and I’d like them to focus more on the specialty foods like at the bars and deli verse stocking name brands that I can buy at the Food Lion.

The Whole Foods stores in this area have a small selection compared to others. The quality of the products isnt as good but still decent. To be honest, a lot of customers who shop here seem obnoxious. The staff is often visibly exhausted, I feel bad. Theyre all very friendly and helpful though. For a few months, every time I went I got overcharged for items. There were also tons of unsightly flies on their pizzas, and nobody cared for years.. it was comical.
