Wegmans is awesome for too many reasons to list, but I will try anyway, haha. Their baked goods are consistently wonderful and always being refreshed. Its always easy to find someone to help you, and the staff is really great across the board. They do a nice job of featuring local produce and products - always changing and great quality! Produce selection and quality is almost always unbeatable, however the prices arent cheap unless you buy bulk. Even then, you can usually find better individual prices elsewhere, but not the consistent quality and broad selection of Wegmans, so its a trade-off. We visit the olive bar and cheese section on every trip. The pesto is PERFECTION and the bulk price is really reasonable; I dont think you can make it for even close to that price unless you grow your own basil. Deli has great selection and impressively knowledgeable staff. Prices on Wegmans bulk cold cuts is quite good but prices are middle of the road or higher otherwise. You do better on exotic selections at Guercios. Natural food section is surprisingly good with a large frozen and refrigerated section as well. Decent prices across the board, usually cheaper than the Co-op. Good kombucha selection, if thats your thing. They even sell the local Bootleg Bucha at a lower price than BB does at their kitchen/store! Great prices on dairy and Wegmans store brand packaged foods, and the quality compared with other store brands must be embarrassing for the other guys. Whenever possible, we buy the Wegmans brand - pasta, sauce, frozen pizzas, applesauce, oatmeal, peanut butter, cereal, coffee, laundry products, paper products, you get the idea. They are almost always the best value by a pretty decent margin. I think the only store with comparable store brand quality and more competitive prices would be Aldis, but that is a completely different shopping experience with far less selection. We shop both places, for what its worth. Wegmans has THE BEST prepared foods/take out of any grocery, by FAR. Subs, sushi, and rotisserie chicken are priced well but the chafing dish food is by weight and not cheap. It is ALWAYS fresh and delicious, however. The dinner choices section where you choose among a handful of options and they make it for you is very decent, a great healthy weekday option if you dont have time to cook. Moderate prices for take-out. Overall Wegmans is the absolute best supermarket in the greater Buffalo area, hands down.

I was extremely disappointed with the catering order I placed for July 26th. I ordered the crudites platter, the antipasto platter and a half sheet cookie. These were to be enjoyed by our friends and neighbors in celebration of another very successful Garden Walk. The vegetables on the crudites platter were not properly prepared. The mini peppers were left whole when they should have been seeded and cut into bite size pieces. the fennel was dry, brown and cut into very thick slices - inedible! The very small portion of asparagus was very limp and obviously over cooked.The green beans were tough and stringy - should have been blanched very briefly. The antipasto platter was just acceptable but certainly not very appetizing - no variety in the meats and big chunks of cheese. The cookie was OK and the children enjoyed it.! I have been a loyal Wegmans customer for many years and have usually enjoyed their products. This was my first experience of their catering and I would be quite reluctant to try it again. Wegmans is a chain of supermarkets located in the North of USA, Pennsilvania, New York, Washington and New Jersey among other few states. Look inside the store for fine food, gourmet food, specials and high quality brands and products under a single roof. Each Wegmans offers the best in customer service, cold cuts, subways, pizzas and their salad bar which is gorgeous. Go with your family, for the toddlers there is a space for them to have fun, play, watch movies, while you have the pleasure to shop. Not without mentioning that they have a big crew of personnel who may assist you in english, Spanish and some Portuguese. For that Dining and the catering for large events at home, consider shopping at Wegmans. #1 best supermarket and customer service rated in 2006 and 2007.

Wegmans has the best produce ever. Never picked too early or left to rot, its always perfectly ripe. I LOVE that their meat is separated and vacuum sealed! Such a time saver! Their boxed and frozen items are low priced as are their bulk items. They offer services to bring groceries to your car, they always have available umbrellas, and my youngest son always leaves with a balloon. The cashiers are polite and helpful, the bathrooms are clean and always stocked with diapers and wipes (I sooo appreciated this when my boys were little). My only complaints would be that their steak and preseasoned meats are a bit pricey, as are their eat in lunch/dinner food, but it is absolutely delicious! Wegmans is hands down my favorite grocery store

This Sat. afternoon I needed help. On oxygen & feeling rough, I couldnt find a shopping cart by the take out entrance. A very nice young lady (behind the not busy counter at the time) answered my distress and went all the way around to the front and brought me a cart. Her name is Danielle. Thank you so much for your wonderful employee. Sincerely, A regular shopper @ this store. The automatic door openers @ the ladies room are also much appreciated by me. Thank you.

This large grocery chain is not only a local favorite but out of towners fall in love when they walk in the door. Not only the home of amazing produce and other grocery basics but this chain now has an greatly expanded prepared food section including a by-the- pound buffet, including asian and a salad bar. The buffet area changes with rotating treats and food themes. Wegmans also boasts its own in house bakery, fresh made sushi and burrito bar. Most are open 24 hours.

The service at the bakery is amazing! I had a last minute special full sheet cake order today! I explained that I would completely understand if it could not be ready on the same day by 5 but the lady who helped me said that she would accommodate me because I came in so early! I already know that it will be delicious since their cakes always are! I truly hope that Wegmans appreciates the wonderful people who create everyday in the Amherst Street bakery!

Its a little crowded, but its to be expected because the prices are excellent and the variety is excellent. Even the stores generics are high quality and tasty. There is a section for pre-prepared foods with a lot of options there too. I have been thoroughly impressed every time I come in. I recently moved to the area from California and I wish we had one of these back home. You can get a lot of good food for a reasonable price.
