. The store does not take returns on womens swimwear but store clerk did not inform me before purchase nor afterwards. Policy is not printed on the reciept. Theres an 8 x10 piece of paper underneathe the plexi glass that is not highly noticeable unless it is pointed out to you.I wanted to exchange a tankini with tags still attached( wasnt a bathing suit) Purchased same day about four hours prior. Sometimes specialty stores do have odd return policies so I wasnt asking for a refund. Just an exchange. Becky, The female store clerk , that informed me of the no refund policy, was rude and she never acknowledged me while in the store while eagerly asking to assist others. Then was so matter of fact with me regarding the stores no return policy on womens swimwear ,and telling me to read my reciept and also pointing at the plexiglass at the register. Totally inaccurate about reciept because the so called policy was not printed on the reciept. My reciept stated that all returns must still have tag. speaking with the owner I was allowed to trade the $56 tankini for a $52 pair of sandals. No even exchange. Bad business, overpriced and being a person of color, I didnt feel so welcome.. Womens swimwear no return policy is not posted on a large sign in store or outside door when one enters the store. Was not informed by sales person of return policy that morning during the time of purchase . Women, go to Marshalls for swimwear in Bluffton. They accept returns with tag still on it.

Have been coming to this place for years - despite the standard surf shop markups - and spending a pretty penny for gear for my crew. However, that run stops tonight after a store clerk shut my family out several minutes before scheduled store close. All we needed was 1 pair of board shorts and knew the exact size - just asked to buy them. The chump clerk said "no, Ive been here since open today and the store is closed - come back at 10 tomorrow" as he shut the door in our face with an annoyed look. My grandfather owned a bicycle shop and taught us all what customer service is about - and the lifetime value of a customer. The owner of Quiet Storm in Hilton Head needs to vet their staff before they drive him/her out of business. Its only a matter of time before competition arrives - and kicks these guys square in their tail. As were walking back to the car, my 9yr old looks up at me and says "he signed up for that job and knew what the hours were. If youre going to work, you should work"... It looks like the shop has been expanding at this location - and may have grown too quickly as they clearly cant handle their customers during normal business hours. Completely disappointed tonight. Good luck.

Easily my favorite surf shop! They always have a wide selection of brands, colors, styles, etc and the employees are helpful, while still giving you space to shop. I always stop here at least once during my trip to HHI (this year I stopped three times) and always have been happy with my purchase(s).

We visited this shop in December. It was quiet and had very helpful staff. Good selection of womens separates in bikinis in fresh styles. Most everything was 50% off retail. Very good experience.

Excellant staff, sunglasses broke 2 days after buying them, and got another pair no questions, no problems. We will be back to shop another day.
