We rented a little place right on the beach a little bit up the road from this shop. I am an experienced pier and boat fisherman, but being so close to the beach I thought I might enjoy surf fishing. I happened to come across a great surf rod/reel combo at a local flea market and began my search for bait. I found this little store and went in a total surf fishing newbie, but walked out with everything I needed, including the knowledge of what to use as bait, how to catch my own sand fleas (the owner wouldnt let me waste my money on a sand flea rake and instead told me how to get em with my hands) and a tide table with all local size and bag limits. Took home my first sheepshead that day. The next time I came by, not only was I greeted as a "regular" I was a offered a sample of fresh snapper the owner had just cooked up in the back.

I took my two boys here so we could do some surf fishing while vacationing. The staff was very friendly and helpful getting us set up with rods and other gear. I appreciated that they didnt try to sell me equipment beyond what we needed for the week but was also very pleased with the quality of what we bought. We went back for more bait later that week and were greeted like friends. I definitely recommend them.

Thanks to the "Josh" review. Just like he said the staff was so great and he helped us everything. I know the place like this makes our vacation so much easier and happier. He really knows what we want and what we need and we had a great time at pier. You must go there and save your time and gas and gain more fun time.

Great Local Shop with a can do attitude to take care of their customers... They are one stop shopping, good inventory of relevant local fishing needs... if they dont have it they will get it for you within a few days or tell you where you can get it... They are definitely more than the ordinary bait shop!!!

Thanks for getting my rod back in shape - replaced my rod tip while I waited. I left another rod for repair, the spinning guide insert had fallen out - they did a great job fixing it! Usually stop there for bait on the way to the port - easy in and out is a plus. Nice staff always willing to help.....
