My husband bought a MBP in 2012. Never had an issue until we were forced to download to Yosemite. So he downloads it from the Apple website. All of a sudden, the computer has more issues and we couldnt diagnose due to it barely turning on. So we get the OS disc for Snow Leopard that came with the laptop, but it wouldnt accept it because the laptop just kept rebooting and didnt let anything actually start up. Couldnt even back up anything that was there. So we make an appointment at the Genius bar. We live about an hour away. We waited over 30 minutes for an appointment that we made 4 days prior, and arrived earlier than the scheduled time. They said that the Yosemite software was corrupted and we just needed a clean copy. So, we bite the bullet and restore everything on the laptop to factory settings, then install a clean copy of Yosemite and send us on our way. We come home, within 30 minutes, the same issues popped up. So we go the next week, about the same time with an appointment. This time, we only waited about 10 minutes past our time. They ran a hardware check to find out that our hard drive is fried. So we spend 160$ between hard drive, bracket, and labor. After about 5 hours we get the laptop back, boot it up in store, everything looks good. Once again, until we bring it home. then the same issues keep happening. The 3rd time I went to the store, I went alone. I waited over 30 minutes for my pre-scheduled appointment, and spent the time being approached by 2 employees over and over about if I was good and if was interested in anything and if I needed anything. I finally saw the tech and explained what was happening. I even showed him a detailed text from my husband in case I had missed any issue. He saw that we had been there previously and checks the hardware again, and the software, and concludes theres nothing wrong with it. but does acknowledge the fact that its not booting correctly. So, he goes to check the RAM. "Itll take a couple hours. come back at 2:15". I tell him I wanted Mavericks on the laptop, since Yosemite was giving us such a hard time. "Ok, no problem" So I go shop for a little bit, and come back at 2:30, figuring that it theyre late, it would give them time. I check in and tell the employee that Im picking up. "Ok, Youre all set, itll just be a few more minutes." After an hour of being approached by employees asking if I needed anything" I was mad. I saw people that had come in after me, leave before me. All I wanted was my laptop and to leave. Once they knew I was mad, my laptop came out right away. The rep just gave me my laptop, had me sign his receipt, and just walked away. I had to chase him down to figure out how the diagnosis had gone. "They didnt do a RAM diagnosis, they saw your hard drive was new and fine, so they just installed a clean copy of Yosemite." "Why is Yosemite on here? I specifically said I wanted Mavericks due to the issues that Yosemite has been giving us" "I dont know maam, I can find out, but itll take a few minutes" At that point, I just wanted out of that store, so i told him as long as the laptop works, its fine. Get home, laptop isnt working, again. I may try 1 more time, but this is ridiculous.

If your looking for a lousy customer service and employees which lack much skill when it comes to troubleshooting & technical expertise, then this is the place to go. To be fair, only a select few employees have been helpful and nice, but these are the employees that follow you as you shop, buy products, etc. Its when you have an issue with a previously bought product, even if its covered under warranty, that the customer service is garbage. The "genius" bar folks are a joke, and dont have any decent technical judgement. They told me my logic board needed to replaced to solve an issue, yet 2 days and $350 (under warranty) later...the problem still persists. I took my MacBook back the next day and they told me they werent open and I couldnt be helped. I waited around until they were open although other customers were being helped during that wait. They "took a look at it" in the back room and concluded nothing was wrong...sure. After reading one of these reviews below, It appears that the solution to my problem is actually just continuing to tell them to fix my laptop until they give me a new one.... I think Ive been there about 3-4 times now for the same issue.

Took over an hour to make a purchase, on a Wednesday, when the store was virtually dead. I had to ask 3 different employees if I could please give them my money, and yet they still kept making me wait. There were more than a dozen employees on the floor, who seemed more intent on chatting amongst themselves than to take my $1,200.00. And then after I made my purchase, they asked if I wanted to do a quick set-up and overview with an apple genius/employee. I said yes, please, as it had been over a decade since I last had a Mac. Again, I sat there almost 30 minutes and never once did one of them come over and do a sit-down with me. I had to grab one of them and ask questions I had. After fooling with this for another hour, I figured I could learn just as well on my own, since thats what I was doing anyways. I should have just went to Best Buy, where they would have handed me my purchase in a bag, probably said thank you for your business, and send me on my way, all in less than 10 minutes probably. I thought Apple had better standards, especially when somebody comes in begging to spend money on their products, in THEIR store. Thanks a lot...

I have been to a handful of Apple stores over my years and this store is above and beyond the best store Ive ever stepped foot in. Even though the store is always busy, I receive personal and full attention when needed. I had an issue when trying to finance a new computer through Apples bank, the manager JP took the issue into his own hands and literally bent over backwards to make sure I had my new computer in time for Christmas (just days before the 25th). I have never received this type of customer service from any other business, ever. His ability to deal with issues, beyond his control, on the fly is amazing. Words can not express how important JP is to this Apple Store Location. I highly recommend this store and the Apple brand to all of my friends, family, and colleagues.

Horrible Experience. Service was hours behind schedule, repair had to be extensive despite my computer being only a year old. When my hard drive (and logic board...apple has long known their their logic boards are defective and havent done anything to change it) had to be repaired, they discarded the original hard drive without consulting me so I had no opportunity to salvage the data. When I called Apple Care to see if there was anything that could be done, the automated voice froze and then hung up on me. I will absolutely be getting rid of my iphone in protest and switching my employees (small business) to PC. It wont do much but Ill do whatever I can to take business away from Apple now. Seriously I cant believe I ever trusted these people with anything.
