The store is ok, you basic outdoors equipment and apparel. The staff on the other hand is remarkably unhelpful and inconsiderate. I went in there looking for a pair of hiking boots and when I wanted to know more about the boots I was looking at the guy simply said "theyre pretty good". When I had called the store a few days later to ask about my purchase history the guy on the other line said he didnt feel like telling me my purchase history and told me I would have to come in to the store to see it. It is clear that the workers are minimum wage college/high school kids who dont know much about outdoors or care much about customer service. Next time I will take the extra time to find another outdoor provider instead of this lazy conglomerate.

The selection of equipment was decent and the pricing was okay however the overall experience was terrible. Ordered a bunch of different equipment online (not available at the store) to try them on and went to return them at the store, brand new items, and the sales associate was giving us attitude for returning all the items, claiming we should have tried them before ordering all the items. He asked me why I ordered so many different helmets and I said because every helmet has different features and I wanted to try them on. They have a 100% satisfaction guarantee so I dont see why the return of BRAND new items is an issue. I will not be shopping at REI again due to the return experience.

Smoke and Mirrors. Three stars earned by personable staff who are knowledgeable in their respective departments and for a nice floor plan. Ultimately, the whole visage is a marketing ploy. There isnt anything in this store you couldnt find on Amazon or other camping stores at drastically lower prices. Their clothing prices are laughable, often having clearance items more expensive than normal prices at other stores. The atmosphere is very earthy, but unnaturally earthy. The store screams hipster in every way.

Had such a good experience at this location that I had to write a review. Every single person on the floor that I talked to was incredibly personable and helped me find exactly what I needed. All very knowledgeable, not pushy at all, and just came across as genuinely wanting to help me find the best option. Definitely recommend if youre in the area. Also, this is a pretty big store compared to most Ive been to, so there are a ton of options in every department.

I really like this store. I like the layout and that I dont feel claustrophobic so it is really easy to look at many different products quickly. The clothes upstairs are really high quality and I like the sporty/casual look. The selection of camping goods is great. I dont have to go to two stores in order to find everything I am looking for. It is on the more expensive side but if you become a member, which is free, you get $ back at the end of the year.

High-quality outdoor gear for enthusiasts. Prices are higher than they used to be (been a member of their co-op for almost 20 years), but the best deals can be found during one of their seasonal "garage sales". They do tend to have *everything* youd need for any expedition youre thinking about going on, from a summer saunter in the woods to climbing Everest.

Whats not to love about REI? Its a member owned co-op, with access to the public, great merchandise, rebates to members, happy employees, great service, and one of the best return policies in the industry. The online store is almost as nice as being at the store, but not quite the same experience.

The manager refused to let me take back my REI fleece. This was the second fleece I had to return because of a defect after 3 weeks of wearing it ! My friends own the same fleece and they do not have the defect. Manager there is stuck up and a tool and treats customers unfairly.

Great experience here, staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Purchased a Jetboil, works exactly as I had hoped and I had all the help I needed while shopping and making the purchase. Prices were on point with popular online retailers.

Return policy is terrible. I got a $134 zip up for Christmas I was looking to exchange and they claim they cant do anything with out proof of purchase when Thier tags are still on and in tack. I will never go there based on that.
