apparently they pay to get bad reviews taken off of google. well i will keep posting my review no matter how many times they delete it. long story short they sold me a faulty disc, that still had residue on it from their resurfacing machine which ruined the disc, and tried to charge me to resurface it yet again. their excuse was that i was probably the one who ruined the disc because i didnt call about it until a couple months after i bought the game. this is because i dont play video games all that often, and i didnt have a problem with the game until i had about 3-4 hours in it (i only play for a half hour to an hour tops each time i turn on my system, i get bored after an hour). anyway they are egotistical, arrogant and do not care if they offend their customers. Im sorry, but isnt it a basic rule of thumb in business that the customer is always right? IF YOU WANT CHEAP GAMES THAT WILL END UP BREAKING AFTER SOME USE THEN THIS IS THE PLACE FOR YOU. IF YOURE THE TYPE OF GAMER WHO LIKES GOOD QUALITY GAMES SO THAT YOU CAN ACTUALLY PLAY THEM FOR MORE THAN A COUPLE MONTHS, THEN STAY AWAY FROM HERE AND PAY THE EXTRA COUPLE OF BUCKS SOMEWHERE ELSE FOR A QUALITY DISC.

I posted a positive review a few years back before I went to an actual good retro game store. Theres one or two employees here who are nice, but for the most part theyre rude and treat customers like they dont even want them there. Ive gotten a few games here, and theyve all worked fine, but when Ive gotten hardware here I was always given less than acceptable pieces. (For example, I was offered a GBA charger that was caked with grime and was told that was the only one they would give me, though they had a drawer full; when I returned a few days later, one of the nicer employees gave me a brand new onefor the sams price. I also bought a Wiimote, paid extra for a nunchuck, and was given one with an exposed wire. To add insult to injury, I saw them pull it out of an overflowing drawer labled "Spare nunchucks") On top of that, a friend got a disc resurfaced here, and it ruined the disc. When they went back, the employees basically said "Tough." The only reason they get two stars is because the games Ive gotten here have never given me any problems. Try a different retro game store.

If youre looking for video game consoles, console games, movies, or gaming accessories then look no further. Located slightly off the square, The Video Game Store offers all these things and more. Lots and lots of things crammed into a small store. Whether it be games, films, peripherals, systems, or other forms of entertainment youre looking for, you may want to check here. They have current gen games and consoles as well as retro games and consoles. They also offer disc resurfacing, so if your favorite game gets scratched it may be savable for a few dollars instead of having to buy a new copy. You can also trade-in games here. Ive heard the trade-ins are better here than other places locally but I dont personally trade in games, also they are still trying to make money so dont expect half your money back on an old game if you trade it in. It really does depend on the game though, some are worth more than others. Lastly, being located by the square, the store brings in "square people" sometimes.. You know the kind I mean.

Ask them if they have Battle Toads. Sometimes you can find decent prices on some games. If you are trading something in..try posting it on let go or even Craigslist unless you need the money now. You will get more money. Place gave me a good deal kn a copy of Win7 Ultimate with key for practicality nothing. They will buy your games for 5 dollars a piece on available and next day if you go in youll see them on the shelf for sale for $20. But thats business. All kinds of used and refurbished game systems at average prices. Recommend looking in Ebay first.

I walked into the store on several occasions to attempt to make a large purchase of every gamecube game they have in stock available as I am a collector and even collect duplicates. On the 4 occasions I went in and tried to look at the games on the shelves I was never approached or even spoken to by an employee and to me thats unacceptable since I was there to make such a large purchase but regardless not even greeting your customers is ridiculous, Ill never be stepping foot im there again unless something is done to help correct my issue.

THE best gaming store in the area hands down. The selection is unbelievable, everything from old school originals to all the newest NextGen systems and games and movies. The payouts are similar to Game Stop but instead of store credit you get $$CASH$$ and since the prices are lower than other game stores the cash goes farther. I shopped around at first and always wound up coming back the same day. So, if you plan on selling or trading ANY game or game system make this your first and only stop.

DO NOT EVER GO HERE!!! Rude, ignorant treat you like absolute garbage. Employees talk bad about each other. Sent xbox to get fixed broke within 2 hours said it happens and my like new Xbox is trash. Denied giving refund until argued with about shoddy repair job. Be WARNED! Use NEPA Geeks for repairs!

Used to go here regularly but now it feels like customers are more of an inconvenience to the employees. I had tried to buy several Turbografx 16 games they had in the store but the owner refused stating he would rather put them online instead of taking my money right then.

They are the very best with prices, new games are usually around $48. My only complaint that are usually pretty busy, but I guess thats only bc of their success.
