Terrible firearm buying experience. I decided to take advantage of the Black Friday deals on a particular firearm. I went in on Black Friday expecting a crowd. I knew what gun i wanted upon entering the store. It took about a half hour to be waited on (which i expected) but what i didnt expect was the lengthy process to check out. The website that is used to run background checks was "down." Not Field and Streams fault...what was their fault was the absolute chaos that ensued. Employees werent communicating with customers, their was no protocol or secondary plan in place for handling such a circumstance. I offered to pay and come back later for the firearm. I took almost 3 hours to walk in and purchase a firearm. An associate called me the following day stating that my paperwork cleared and all i had to do was come in a sign some forms and i was all good. I showed up about 6pm the following day, again, ZERO communication with the customer. Waited almost 30 minutes before anyone helped me. Told some of the staff or my experience, no one seemed to care, no apology or anything. Took almost an hour to sign two forms. I will never purchase a firearm from there again. I understand that it was Black Friday but the customer service was awful. This experience was not worth the money i saved. Ill buy local from now on.

This is a great place for all of your outdoor needs. We recently bought 75% of our camping gear here. We have a month long cross country camping trip planned and needed supplies. We found prices and selection here to be better for the major necessities such as the tent, portable cook stove, packs, water filter, etc. than anywhere else. I took off a star for the long wait at the check out line. One lane open with a long line was a little annoying.

Me and my son were in for an event at the store. He loves everything fishing. There were a couple guys in the fishing department that just took a ton of time and spent it talking fishing and offering advice with my son. We even came back for a free fly fishing lesson. Weve had absolutely great experiences here and will continue to shop. Thanks for taking time with us.
