Dropped off six tanks to be filled last Thursday AM and was told that I could pick them up "in about an hour." I returned 3 hours later and they hadnt been touched. When I went to speak with one of the salesmen about it, there was another woman already complaining to him about the same issue. However, she had dropped her tanks off the previous day and they still hadnt been filled at 2:30pm the next day! This was the third time that I experienced this with Divers Direct. The only reason that I was still trying to fill tanks there is that I hadnt yet exhausted the fill card that I had purchased during a holiday sale last December. I should say that Mike, the manager, was apologetic and tried to make things right but I still find their disorganization and lack of customer service to be unacceptable. I could understand if it had been busy but this was the middle of a Thursday afternoon with more staff in the store than customers both when I dropped off the tanks and when I tried to pick them up. On one of the previous times that I had a problem, I had dropped off the tanks on a Wednesday and tried to pick them up on Friday and had to wait for nearly 2 hours on Friday for them to be filled. This happened last spring . . . not even close to mini-season or with any other reasonable excuses to be offered. What a shame that an otherwise nice store with a good selection of gear for recreational divers at reasonable prices cannot get it together on this basic customer service.

Divers Direct Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood is the real deal. I can only explain my experience as perfect! This store has everything the recreational diver needs. I found Divers Direct through a Suunto Recall. When I do recreational dives, I still dive a suunto with Air Intigration. In July, 2017, I found that the transmitter was recalled. Following the recall, I immediately took the transmitter to the local dive shop only to be told that my local dive shop (Force E Pompano) did not have the technical capability to fix the transmitter. Force E referred me to a more complete (and more competent) dive shop that would have service capability. The Force E salesman told me that Divers Direct was the best at getting my gear fixed! I drove past several dive shops during a 30 minute drive. Upon arriving at Divers Direct I was blown away! The tech/service manager Michael Shaffer was extremely knowledgable and explained so many things in regards to my gear. I left my equipment with him. After just a few short days it was fixed and I was called to pick it up. These guys got stuff done fast and professionally! The tech is on scene in the store! I now know Divers Direct is worth my time to drive, they are exceptional at customer service and regulator service.

Worst experience at a Divers Direct ever. Entire sales team hanging out together at front desk; completely unavailable to assist with equipment selection. When I brought the stuff that I wanted to buy to the front counter to make a purchase they acted like I was bothering them. I do a lot of business with Divers Direct and love their stores but the staff that they have employed in Fort Lauderdale are way below par. I ended up buying elsewhere (almost $800 total purchase). Divers Direct, time to invest in some customer service training for the kids you are hiring. You are better than this, you need to require that your employees perform in a way that matches your good name. With so many options of where to buy scuba gear, you cant expect us to take too many of these disappointments before we find another shop to do business at.

I have been going to divers direct for over a decade now and have noticed that the knowledge of the employees of dive gear has gotten much worse since I started shopping here.I understand many of the employees are young , but that doesnt give a excuse to not know the equipment they are selling.Last time I went I asked for help from a young lady(she says shes from Kansas) that works here and she knew very little about what she was trying to sell me.I hope management does a better job training its employees so they can be better at helping customers.

I am the owner of an aquatics business. This company typically sells to touristy buyers who experience diving for the first time. The return policy is a farce. They Dont list excuses but you will encounter some of them if you really experience faulty equipment. The employees do hang out at the front of the store at this location. There are advantages to mom and pop shops so consider them. Stick to your instructors referrals if your a rookie. Ultimately remember that when buying critical equipment "its your life".

Was there a few days ago, had a question about a speargun and got a wealth of information and personal knowledge from Mike. Every question i had was answered, and he didnt try to make me feel stupid for asking tons of questions. I ended up getting a speargun and it works just like he said, awesome! A++ customer service. The building itself was clean, neat, and organized, easy to find stuff but the building itself is in a weird location right next to the ghetto. All things considered I will definitely go back.

Walked in to this joint to get 4 bottles filled. VI is a week out of date and takes 4 days to do. What kinda crap is that. They have a dedicated person to fill bottles which by the way is a two hour process from them also. Unacceptable IMHO. For such a huge commercial chain store you would think they could have a better turn around especially for locals. Ill stick with the little guy. They need the money more.

Michael was extremely knowledgeable with my Sunto computer. I was on vacation and told on the phone it would be 2 weeks before they could fix my computer. Michael stayed and took care of me so that I could continue diving tomorrow during our vacation. Thank you thank you thank you so much. Definantly recommend Divers Direct for scuba repairs and friendly service. Thank you again Michael!

This might be a good place to spend your money but do not expect even a low level of service thereafter. I bought a tank from Divers Direct. A year later I went for a refill. The answer was you need a visual inspection and we are low on staff so it will take six days. Adding insult to injury was a broad smile on the face of the manager Tim. The shop is to big for its own good.

Joey at Divers direct was fantastic. I was in the Bahamas, had a friend coming out and I wanted to buy some gear online and have my friend pick it up and bring it with him. First guy I spoke to sounded like this didnt fit with how the online store operated, but Joey handled it like a pro. First rate communication. Got it all sorted. He is definitely a "CAN DO" person. Thanks!!

Just needed some snorkeling gear so I thought I would give it a try. Great store, incredible selection, friendly service, reasonable prices, this particular store is easy to spot from the highway, but a bit of a pain to actually get to, not a big deal though. I would recommend checking it out or one of their other locations. You wont be disappointed.
