James and the team at RMA are true professionals and have everything you could need for your trip. Our family threw together a last minute day float and we were lacking a few items - RMA had us covered! We really enjoyed our float of the Roanoke River -- we did not know how much was available in our own backyard and how much we had been missing. Ill definitely be circling back for a float (or several!) next season.

I go to college in Roanoke and my dad came to town for a visit. Dan hooked up my dad with a REAL mountain bike- a Santa Cruz Superlight. We then proceeded to have a blast at Carvins Cove. I would highly recommend Roanoke Mountain Adventures for all of your outdoor adventure needs. They have solid equipment and they have great staff that can make recommendations for all levels of usage.

Really friendly people you should chat with before planning outdoor adventures in the area. The only place in town you can rent an upper scale road bike from! Lots of advice on coffee shops, trails, rides, rafting, kayaking, people, and places to check out. A great assortment of used sports gear to peruse (they do consignment).

Fantastic experience, the icing on the holiday cake! Exhilarating mountain bike trip, relaxing tube ride on the river (twice..) and my only regret was we ran out of time. RMA are friendly, knowledgeable and non-judgemental, they did everything they could to make our visit to Roanoke memorable. Do yourselves a favor and call them.

I really loved the concept of a used outdoor gear consignment shop but the sheer lack of inventory left more to be desired. The owners must make most of their money by tours and rental fees because theres not enough items for sale in the shop to sustain anyone.

This place is great! Excellent service and equipment, knowledgeable and helpful staff. We rented greenway bikes (hop on the greenway right near the shop). We were visiting the area and Dan gave lots of helpful tips on what to see and do along the greenway.

James took my husband and I on an instructional kyiack float. So much fun. I only went in the water once. Great way get the experience before you spend money on your own kyiack. Great place to get started. James was a lot of fun.

Handy outfitter and gear shop next to the Green way and Roanoke river. They rent kayaks, tubes, SUPs, and bikes. The also sell gently used outdoor gear.
