Viajo todos los años por lo menos una vez al año a Fort Lauderdale. Siempre busco actividades nuevas para realizar junto a mi familia, y viendo tanta gente realizando paddleboard en el canal me dispuse a buscar un lugar para alquilar las tablas. Así llegué, en febrero de este año, a Sunrise Paddleboards, me encantó la variedad de propuestas que tienen. En familia realizamos el Eco tour con John, un hermoso paseo por el canal, donde nos encontramos con manatees, probamos una fruta (rose apple?) y llegamos a un precioso parque, bien agreste. No conformes con eso, mi hija tomó clases de SUP yoga con la divina de Katt y alguna clase de Paddleboard Fitness con Jenna, lo que resultó en una experiencia maravillosa. En otra ocasión, mi esposo y yo, alquilamos en Sunrise Paddleboards una canoa para recorrer otro sector de los canales mientras nuestra hija concurría a clases de yoga. Así que estamos esperando poder tomarnos unas nuevas vacaciones para volver a Fort Lauderdale y seguir disfrutando de las bellezas de sus canales gracias a Sunrise Paddleboards. I had a fantastic experience at Sunrise Paddleboards. I called in the morning and spoke with Kent who was very helpful and assured us wed find boards available upon arrival that afternoon. It was a beautiful Saturday and I was a bit concerned, but there were no issues. Myself and a friend, both paddleboard noobies, went out for 2 hours and learned a lot dodging wake from boats and meeting other paddleboarders and kayakers out on the intercoastal. Our technique steadily improved and Im proud to report neither of us fell in. As we returned to the dock just shy of the 2 hour mark Kent was busy helping a family get in the water so we stayed out an extra 20 minutes putting what we learned from watching more experienced SUPers into practice (sweet deal!). I plan to return and explore the waterways in the opposite direction. Thanks Sunrise and Kent for a great experience.

I brought my daughter and her friend with me. They both have special needs. The young guy there, I wish I had got his name, was so patient with my daughter and took the time to work with her even though I hadnt signed her up for a lesson. My daughter wound up waiting on the dock while her friend and I went paddling (I didnt want to take up his time without being able to pay for a lesson). They say theres no one they cant teach. I believe given enough time, determination, and focus on my daughters part, they may be right. Ill be signing her up for a private lesson soon.

Wasnt impressed. Staff was a rude on the phone and aloof in person. Theres a $10 docking fee per person too if you bring your own craft, even if youre renting additional from them. If youre planning on using a Groupon, make a reservation and read the fine print on Groupons site carefully. They claim that the Groupon is only good for Weekday rentals which their coupon mentions nothing of. However they do have a nice cancellation policy if theres really bad weather (lightning, hurricanes, etc).

The staff is great and extremely accommodating. We went there on a whim and they had no problem getting us on the river immediately with everything we needed. Bring something dry to keep your phone in if you want to take it because they make you rent the water proof pouches. Also, theres no place to lock up belongings, so dont bring anything in that is valuable and needs to be locked up! That said, we didnt lock our phones up or anything and they were fine! Would definitely recommend! =)

After calling around to a bunch of shops, we decided to rent from here. We made a reservation for 5 paddleboards and 1 kayak over the phone the morning of. We paid for 1 over the phone to hold our spot. Make sure you are clear with the directions she gives when when you are out on the water. We got lost but had tons of fun anyway.

Great place to rent a kayak or paddle board, its on the mellow-residential portion of the intercoastal so you get to cruise around and not worry about huge yatchs passing by. They have quality stuff to rent or buy and the staff is very friendly. Try the guided tour, very cool if youre new to this area of the water!

RUDE a worker I think his name is! Jason, I think its the name of the person sitting in a desk in the back. Very nice blond lady at the door but We drive 45 mins from Miami with the intention of buying two paddle boards but they has no interest on it. Very rude and no wanting to give any service or info.

Paddleboard tours with Sunrise Paddleboard is one of the most fun experiences you can have in the Fort Lauderdale Area. Whether it is the Eco Tour or the Venice of America Tour, you will have fun and enjoy the sites. The instructors can help anyone from the beginner to the advanced.

Great place! The staff is always friendly & Sunrise Paddleboards has a very laid back vibe. The canals are great for beginner paddlers! I have only tried the self-guided paddle, but they also offer full moon paddles, paddleboarding yoga, kayaks, and other guided tours, I believe.

Recently bought a paddle board at Sunrise and would highly recommend them. They have great quality equipment, reasonable prices, and were very helpful in teaching the correct paddling technique. They are a community-oriented shop with friendly staff.

First time here, staff was very polite. We saw the Instructor pushing with his board the board of an old lady who was scared of standing/paddling for the most part of the 2 hour tour, a very nice gesture. The tour was very relaxing. Recommended!

Great people, great training, great tour!! Our guide Kent was perfect at teaching, coaching, taking care of everyone. Will repeat for sure. The experience makes you forget about the whole world and just relax and have fun.
