Came in town to fish a few days...stopped in West Marine and dropped a couple hundred bucks on a new rod and supplies...was told if I wanted my other reels lined to come back by 8:30 or so since they close at 9....got there at 8:30 and Asst mgr Rebecca said they wouldnt line the reels...said only one associate was certified and he was with a customer...she obviously went to asst mgr training and was told customer service meant to smile....she smiled in the nastiest most condescending way. Her answers were short and she spoke down to us as if we were children. Three other associates could have helped that other customer, but Rebecca and her lack of leadership received a failing grade. West Marine has lost a customer for life as I refuse to purchase from them again. Rebecaa is a liability to this company and a rotten customer service representative. No wonder retail stores are on their way out. Avoid the store...under Rebeccas leadership example, the customer service here is a bust! Its so infrequent you come across such a poor leader...I will be writing a letter to corporate as well...it was a much worse of an experience than written here! Shes a bad representative for the company!

Great selection of boating and fishing gear. Also nice selection of clothing especially sun protectiv shirts. The staff are helpful. , often you need to find them. Prices are average to high but the sales items are more reasonable. Its nice that it is one stop for most boating needs

The store is great and clean. It has a good selection of clothing, fishing, and boating needs. However, they are extremely overpriced on most things. The employees are usually nice and ready to help. It is a great place to go, especially if you are looking for something imparticular.

Not good service had to find some then told me he would be with me and had to find him again to answer my question not friendly finely he asked someone else to help they were very helpful if you know what you want I guess its okay for an in and out

Way overpriced but nice store and staff. Was able to find the product I needed, "insulator wax" $10 cheaper per bottle on Amazon. I only go here when in a pinch and need the product immediately.
