Allow me to preface - I am by no means an aquarium or fish "connoisseur". Ill even go further to dumb myself down as being a sheep (consumer) from time-to-time. That being said, when you go to a pet supply store/establishment, you expect theres someone on staff who knows what theyre talking about. While the associate my husband and I were dealing with was helpful and seemed knowledgeable (future note to self: cocky does not necessarily equal knowledgeable), we rolled with it and bought ourselves a South American Dragonfish to add to our FRESHWATER aquarium. Fast forward 24-48 hours later, and Im eyeing this guy all excited because hes just cool as hell, but his colorings off. Im worried. I start to research (which, admittedly, should have done so in the very beginning). Well, we "done goofed". He needs BRACKISH conditions and not fresh. So, I call PSP thinking theyd know what to do. In other words, I was told hed be fine, and he was in a freshwater tank at the store, BUT IF I WANTED TO RETURN HIM FOR A REFUND, I COULD, despite repeatedly mentioning about his preferred (brackish) conditions. I didnt return - I had good intentions of re-homing him (just got laid off > cant afford tank and necessary supplies), and better he be in a 55 gal tank (optimum) short term than PSPs overcrowded, very tiny tanks. Sadly, same night, I got to watch him suffer as he skimmed furiously across the top GASPING for air. By morning - stiff as a board. DEAD. Long story short, and a few words to the wise: 1) Unless you can afford to provide a brackish/appropriate environment, DO NOT BUY A DRAGONFISH. 2) Regardless of someones knowledge and/or their innate way of bullshitting and getting you to believe their word is gospel, DO YOUR OWN HOMEWORK. 3) Know what? Dont even bother with this store for fish. Spend the extra money and support a local business (privately owned). BTW: They also sell DYED fish and DYED frogs so that theyre aesthetically appealing. And pretty = $!

Used to prefer this store to other pet store chains in the area, despite the smaller size and higher prices. The last 3 times I went here specifically for items on sale, they had none on the shelves. When I asked staff to tell me if they ran out or kept more inventory in the back, I was given horrible attitude from a specific worker named "Mikki" who huffed, rolled her eyes, pointed at the empty shelf and said, "well, it doesnt look like we have any!" Then she tells me they price match. Thats great, but no help to me if theyre SOLD OUT or too lazy to go in the back for more stock because its 8:45 pm and they quit working 15 minutes early! Most other employees have been very nice and helpful, but it only takes one to ruin things. Ill no longer waste time going here since 9/10 times, I have to go down the road to Petsmart anyways. Lost a long time customer.

For being a "big box" chain store they offer a personal touch. All the employees clearly LOVE animals and they have a great "open bag" policy. If you buy a bag of dog food (I assume its offered for Cat food as well) and your dog doesnt like it you can return it for a full refund and they donate the open bag to an animal charity or shelter. There prices are good and their sales can be great!

Smaller than a PetSmart, but still has almost everything you need. Theres a self serve dog wash thats very reasonable. Most staff members are friendly and helpful. Just dont take any advice from them as facts, and always do your own research before buying any pet or adding another. A friend was given very wrong info here that was fatal to their bearded dragon.

Its a smaller store but they carry the brands you need and typically cheaper than if you went elsewhere. Grain free, etc. They have a unique small animal treats and toy section. Big bags. Small bags. And bulk cat litter. They also have a tag maker that actually engraves instead of the laser etching that im not at all impressed by.

This is one of the only places locally that carries the BEST dog food like Primal Freeze Dried and The Honest Kitchen at very reasonable prices. Get the card, you have access to awesome discounts. The associates are all pretty knowledgeable and friendly!

They fired the long time manager for no reason. From what i understand he was there 20+years. I no longer buy my dog food there, and I have 3 dogs. Spent a lot of money there. Too bad
