Love colonial gardens. The look, the atmosphere, the selection... competitive prices with their garden decorations (vs amazon) with many being even a bit cheaper. Great store. This is coming from a dude whos not specifically into gardening and things. I mean Ive gotten a couple of cool plants here, but mostly I go to buy gifts. And I dont mind staying cause its a lovely place to be. Also, the employees are hugely helpful when if you want to make an arrangement or the like and they offer that help for nothing! I made a few great little custom arrangements for my sisters grave sight with their help. Lastly, I went there basically at closing to get a collection of gifts for my aunts wedding (shes piecing together a fairy garden) the night before the actual wedding - I didnt know about the whole up-to-a-year wedding-gift etiquette... anyway the employee was incredibly patient with me, helped me out and stayed about 15 minutes late to do so. The 5-5:30 closing is a bit tough, but the store is well worth the visit if you need to make a purchase of plants, flowers, outdoor/garden decorations (including windchimes, fountains, lights, etc) or even cool/funky/stylish indoor decorations and a huge selection of Yankee candles. I love how unique their things are (indoor and out) like the type of stuff you jut dont see anywhere else.

I signed my husband and I up for a gardening class late on a Saturday afternoon. Of course when it was time to go he wanted the couch but I convinced him to go to this two hour free class. What a winner. Eric was so informative and funny that the two hour class flew by We took notes and learned more that we ever thought we would have. He was honest and gave such good information and it did not matter if you were a novice or a very experienced gardener. We will be going to Colonial Gardens to help fix all the bad things we have done over the years and getting advice on how to do it right!!!!

I just went to Colonial Gardens to purchase succulents for a pot, that my mom hates. I asked for help and the woman that helped me turned out to be, wait for it... Helpful! Im not sure how knowledgeable (maybe she just sounds unsure of herself, I do that sometimes with things I know all about) but I plan to follow her advice. Also, its been my family and Is garden store of choice since forever. They always have a lovely display at the split on 724 and 23. I like to see the guys out there sweating.

I bought a blueberry bush for 40 bucks in June. It has reddish leaves and I thought they were related to seasonal changes. At home in three days other near by plants started getting the same color and red dots. I enquired with an experienced gardener and was told its a kind of fungal disease thats difficult to control, so went back to colonial for an exchange or return. They not only refused tout also tried to sell me fungicides. Will never ever go to this place again.

We were here for a quote for my wedding. I walked in with high expectations because the store is beautiful & had a great experience with our consultation; however, its been over 3 weeks without a quote. While other florists responded in a matter of days. We were looking to book a florist asap so I guess there was no interest in our business. While I cant critique the value of their work; the responsiveness is disappointing :(

Colonial Gardens is one of my favorite places to explore time and again. Each spring, summer and fall I make numerous drop ins to play on the gardens with my kids and purchase habitat friendly plants. The workers there are knowledgeable and kind. I suggest at least attending their events, especially if you have littles. Enjoy!

Everyone here is knowledgeable about what they are selling. Whenever Im looking to update my outdoor flower beds they have great recommendations on what will grow and where. Which is great because I know nothing about gardening lol they keep my flower beds looking beautiful!

Its about what youd expect for an independent garden place. Not as expensive as another well known local place with the initials FD, but pricier than Target :-) They also have party rooms you can rent for your kids parties, so be on the lookout for that.
