Im going to start off my review by noting that Jomar is not everybodys cup of tea. Some people enjoy a bargain hunt, and some just want to go into a store and get what they came for -- both are fine. Jomar is for the bargain hunter type, which I am. They get overstock and seasonal turnover clothes from other stores, and so their racks are usually full of womenswear thats in good shape but one season out of fashion. Their non-clothing items are usually damaged boxes and returned goods that are at a variety of discounts. Where Jomar really shines for me, though, and the reason I end up there usually, is the fabric. They have long rolls, Im guessing manufacturing leftovers, of fabric of all different kinds. Fabrics like lace and satin, chiffon, soft knits, and utility fabrics like liner and stabilizer. Rarely is any fabric more than a few dollars -- in fact, most of the time Im buying ends there at $1 a yard. Now, you cant depend on them to have any particular fabric, or the same one more than once. But the price for it is going to be spectacular, so I recommend checking here first before going to a pricier fabric shop.

So I just left Jomar on Grant Ave and Im highly disappointed! Went to buy fabric, stood in line to have it cut for about 10-15min only to have another customer who was standing off to the side jump in front of me and the current manager allow it. I hate to make it about race but the customer was Indian and so was the manager. As I ask the manager why she allowed it she continued to work as if she never heard me ask the question. Needless to say, the manager cost Jomar that sale because I walked right out afterwards! Never again!

I love to shop there because they have some name brand stuff for low prices. The only problem is the bathroom, is the most dirtiest I have ever been to since I came to the US, please do something about it, and also dont price the torn up clothes like the regular ones. I am giving it 3 stars because of the bathroom.

People there are not pleasant at all, from manager to the lowest position except the people in the back, the ones who work in the material department. Thats the worst place someone can go to shop for anything. Its a waste of time to go there. Big zero for customer service.

EXCELLENT - customer service -- employees are very pleasant and helpful. Abundance of womens garments and household items - PRICES are very manageable -- JOMAR may not have the fancy displays however, I appreciate the savings!

The lines here are always extremely long.. Low prices, but very minimum selection for mens clothing. However, their selection of fabrics is pretty good.

This store has a hugh selection of all types of fabric on the 2nd floor and it is so CHEAP price wise. Love to get my fabrics here.

Its like a thrift shop for a lot of Nice toys bathing suits and clothes books shoes cooking material but its really expensive!!!
