I went to the store to deal with a malfunctioning phone under warranty. Even on a quiet Sunday morning the staff were not focused on solving my problem and getting me out of there. It took a lot of time to find out that it would take 2 days (if I paid for expedited shipping) and potentially a $100 deductible to get a new phone, even though it was a well recognized flaw with the phone. Then, 45 minutes into an hour long visit they tell me I could go to a different location and get a new phone immediately. At the end of this frustrating visit I asked the manager "How long should it have taken to do this transaction?", because I was pretty frustrated. "It depends" was the answer, which to me highlights the total lack of focus on prompt and effective customer service. Unfortunately, this AT&T experience is totally predictable.
