My daughters only flowers for her wedding was her own bouquet. We purchased a "trial" bouquet one month before her wedding and it was stunning - absolutely beautiful. We ordered another for the wedding. I came into the shop personally and paid in full 3 days before the wedding. All seemed fine. Then the day before the wedding we picked up the bouquet and it was NOTHING like we ordered. The excuse was they couldnt get the flowers we wanted. But there was no phone call, no notice, no apologies. We took the bouquet home. We just didnt understand what happened. This bouquet looked nothing like the "model" we had purchased. It was sloppy, contained things that looked like DEAD weeds and wilted flowers - all for the cost of $125.00. So I took it back. My money was refunded. But now she had no flowers. We were hurt by the lack of response and the sense that we were "too small". I asked that the owner please call me so we could discuss what went wrong. But I have never received that call. I have used this florist in the past and I will not use them now. I recommend that you go elsewhere. I love shopping locally, but this was a very sad experience. I could never recommend this place. Not just because our flowers were not what we expected, but their attitude was "we didnt matter" to them.

I meet with her and showed her pictures of exactly what I wanted. I ordered 11 boutineers, 2 corsages, my bouquet, two roses, a wedding arch, a card table center piece and needed them to decorate a balcony. Since I wanted pictures before hand I asked her to be there at 2:30, so the arch would be done for pictures. She arrived a little before 4pm, just a little late. With 4 boutineers and then argued with my mother that I only ordered 4. She then went to her car and confirmed I ordered 11 and left to get more. My bouquet was not at all like we discussed and looked at pictures of. Yes the flowers were tulips, they will droop, but they were drooped when I got them and she added a bunch of green filler when it was suppose to be a tight bunch of red tulips. They also were a dark pink, which would have been fine except the boutineers were the correct red. I hated my bouquet and everyone commented about how silly they looked. I would never ever get flowers from them again. Very disappointing because she was recommended by our caterer and a few others in the wedding industry. I dont know if it was a bad day or what, but I did not get what we agreed to.

Loretta Barnes/Amaranth Florist is the consummate professional with a flare for the unusual requests, no matter what they are .. I use her/them exclusively .. for my company for all occasions and for me personally and recommend her to everyone.. shes wonderful and so is the staff .. beautiful arrangements, custommade .. and my favorite is the gift basket with the ceramic teapot + whatever the theme, she adds to it... just lovely .. for all occasions .. well received and appreciated ... we have many retirement parties and I usually order a floral arrangement to match the colors on the sheet cake .. simply exquisite for either the retiree or the spouse of an retiree .. they are so thrilled ... I couldnt be more pleased .. Loretta always adds a personal touch to every arrangement or gift basket ... shes fabulous .. she has become a personal friend which I cherish .. I know no matter what I order, it will be perfection .. b/c thats who she is and her staff ...

I was a first time user of Amaranth. Yesterday was caught in a bind where it was late in the day and I needed flowers delivered that day. Even though their drivers had left for the day, the owner went out of her way to ensure my flowers were still received that day. In my mind, that is the definition of customer service. I had called four other florists to see if they could help me out and Amaranth was the only one who pulled through for me. Not only that, the flowers were beautiful. I highly recommend Amaranth Florist and will definitely be using them again in the future. Although next time I will try to place my order earlier in the day!

Loretta at Amaranth Florist was great to work with as my wedding florist. I do not live in the Philadelphia area and she was more than willing to work with me via e-mail to ensure that my wedding flowers were perfect. And the flowers were absolutely beautiful! She is also very reasonably priced, especially for being in the Philadelphia area. I would highly recommend Amaranth Florist to other brides or anyone looking for beautiful flowers. Great value, service, and product!

From the moment we walked into Amaranth, we had a wonderful experience. Loretta guided us through the wedding flower process, showing us examples, asking questions and giving us ideas. She gave us exactly what we wanted and more! From our Chuppah (which was breathtaking) to the bridal bouquets, centerpieces, and even the place card table-- the room was BEAUTIFUL! Amaranth is affordable and so easy to work with, I wouldnt consider working with anyone but Loretta!

I had a very small budget to work with for my wedding and Loretta was able to create beautiful bouquets, centerpieces, boutonnieres and a cake topper all within my budget. She was so easy to work with and very responsive. Even better, she was able to use all of the flowers I requested. She really turned what could have been a stressful situation into a very easy situation. I highly recommend working with her for your wedding.

Called and talked to Jennifer. Was super helpful with getting a last minute flower arrangement sent to my girlfriends work for get birthday. Pleasant to talk to and I feel she went above and beyond to help me. On top of that, the arrangement was delivered way earlier than expected. Also, the prices were very reasonable.Hats off to amaranth and the whole team there. You guys helped make my girlfriend day and saved my butt!
