I had an extremely unpleasant experience shopping there tonight. While the staff wasnt necessarily rude they were far from knowledgeable and competent. I spoke with 2 employees and the manager about specific flea products and how they compare. None of them had any answers for me and I was essentially left to figure everything out on my own. Oh and "I have a dog, not a cat" is not a viable excuse for your ignorance when you work at a store like that. Im not expecting 100% knowledge retention but at least know who to ask or how to find the answer via your system; thats basic customer service. Then to end the trip they didnt give me a receipt, which I needed because I had to do all of their product research independently in store in case I needed to return a product. I asked for them to print me one and the cashier had no clue. He had to call a manager to do a simple receipt reprint which held up the line for a good few minutes. Whoever is running that show is failing drastically. The employees and management need serious training.

The groomers wanted to keep my dog for 2 hours just to give it a bath even when we made an appointment. They probably wouldve just put her in a kennel for an hour an a half.. I do NOT recommend the groomers here at all. They always only have 1-2 cashiers open no matter how many people are waiting in line. One of their cashiers did not know how to do a return, so instead of asking for a manager, she told us to come a different day when there is one here. There was a sign that says "All Kong leashes 20% off". When we tried to buy a leash, they said that only kong retractable leashes were on sale and they werent even in the same aisle. Their excuse for putting the sign there was that they didnt have anywhere else to put it. They refused to give me the discount. even though we were loyal customers. The only place thats worth your money are the dog training lessons w/ Dawn.

I wish I can give them a 0 star. So we called the day before asked if they a start up kit for hermit crab and we gave them a specific name and they said they have it. Ok so the next day 20 min before we got there we called again while we were still at petco to make sure they have it and they said yes. So we go there looking allover for it and we ask them where to find it and we get slapped in the face by telling us that they dont have it and we told her we called like 20minutes ago and they told us that we might have called the wrong store and I told them no it was this store and she said well this is what we have and I showed her on my phone what I called specifically for and her answer was that might be online only and I had to tell her again that I called twice and I gave them the specific name. Bad experience and they dont even have hermit crabs in stock.

If I could leave zero stars I would. I have been going to this specific store for over a year and have spent hundreds which Im sure all of us pet lovers do. I rented the carpet shampooer this past Saturday and was told to bring the pink slip that they give to you and an I.D back with me which i did on Sunday only to find out that the manager SANDY wouldnt give me my $30 deposit back that they make you out down without a receipt. (Which i was never told to bring) So today two days later after speaking to another store, corporate and a guy that works at the store I went back to the store and of course Sandy was working again, a lady from corporate sent me the receipt via email and she still wouldnt give me my money back. I filed a formal complaint and i will leave my feedback on each and every site.

The staff was super rude just because we were using coupons we received from adopting through Petfinder. If they didnt want to honor the coupons, they shouldnt have partnered. They basically accused us of forging them even though we needed the Petfinder login to get them, and I wish that was the end of it. Nothing but rudeness the entire time. We will never purchase anything for our kittens from this place.

Place is hit or miss. I had bought a crate Mat for my dog and got the wrong size. I used a coupon while purchasing and the manager gave me a hard time exchanging it. She wouldnt allow me to use my coupon on the exchanged mat. Called the Harrisburg store and no problems there. Maybe the manager wanted to flex some muscle or something idk...

Rebecca in the grooming salon is wonderful!! She took care of my baby girl and returned her to me with cute little bows. I have only ever received a bandana 1 other time and my puppy gets groomed here often. I will now be requesting only Rebecca to pamper my pup! She took time to tell me how my pup did and she was very personable.

Great prices on pet food and the staff weve dealt with have been very helpful and polite. Any problems weve had so far have been taken care of without issue, and they even let us know when to expect stock in of the pet food we need. Used to go to another store exclusively, but now we head here first.

Everyone here is always so helpful and it makes me smile to see the ladies by the fish wall interact with the children as they look around. They always do their best to help me find what I need and recommend places other places to look. They are all very knowledgeable in the animals that they stock.

We are getting a new kitty so we went to the store and after looking through the whole cat dept I asked a staff member if they had kitty playpens. She looked at me and said the cat section is over there. That was it. I put all the items I had in my basket down and left.

We just bought a Guinea Pig & Lauren was amazing! She showed our son each one in the cage so he can make sure he got the exact one he wanted. She continued with us showing us the different bedding, hay, and cages. She even answered all our questions about daily care.

Just stood in the grooming area for 20 minutes without a single employee asking to help me /my dog. My dog had an appointment at 10 and I left at 10:20, now having to bring my dog to my kids gymnastics class since I dont have time to do anything else with him.

Bought a tarantula. Was the least handled spider I have ever seen in my life. Hated everything that moved. Let it out of the cage one time and the monster bit my leg and sent me to the ER due to anaphylactic shock due to my allergies.

First time shopping for fish. I had no idea what I was doing but Sophia was patient and knowledgeable. She helped my family pick out their fish for our aquarium. No pressure, good sale on fish right now (buy 4 get 2 free).
