This was by far, the worst customer experience I have ever had. It took me over a month to get my bike back and here is why. Originally dropped by bike off for a new tire and then asked for a tune-up while they had the bike. This was back in mid-April. Get a call about a week later saying that the bike is ready. Drive 30 minutes to get there and they are closed, even though their hours said they were supposed to be open. No one updated the website with the correct hours so that was a wasted trip. Made another trip down, got there, and they had only done the tune-up and not the tire. Another wasted trip and gas. I then went out of town and hadnt heard from them, so I called on a Monday and the owner answered and said oh, the tire came in on Friday and I just put it on yesterday (Sunday) and I guess we forgot to call you. I said no worries and that I would come pick it up in the next week or so since I was out of state at that point. About a week later, I miss a call from the shop. They text me and tell me my bike is ready and that it was supposed to be picked up about a month ago. I explained to them we tried to pick it up but it wasnt ready and they were complaining that my voicemail wasnt setup (I still receive missed call notifications) and that my bike had been ready since 4/22. That was a lie as I just spoke to the owner late May who told me he JUST finished the bike. They then tell me theve had lots of trouble trying to contact me and I ask for dates and times for those calls and they tell me they are too busy and I can just read the back of the repair tag when I come in. I come in, read the tag (the dates were exactly when I was in touch with them and nothing extra like they were making it seem) and just decide to not start an argument and pay for the repair and go. I then test drive the bike and my chain is still rubbing when switching gears. I bring it BACK in, show them, and they said we need to wait around an hour for the owner to come back to take a look. An hour later, the owner comes back while were there, the retail workers tell him the issue, he picks up the bike, tests it, and says its okay. I test the gear right there in the store and again, its still rubbing. I tell him this, he flies up out of his seat, yells "excuse me?!" grabs the bike out of my hands and tosses it up on the bike mount and tests the gears. I show him which one isnt working and hes like, um, you only have a 14 speed bike and youre trying to shift above that, which is why this is happening. Okay, my bike has 21 gears hooked up to it so I really wasnt aware that I only had 14. I took my bike and left. As someone who has worked in customer support for several years, this was a horrendous interaction. An example of when a business forgets that I am the customer and I am paying THEM money for their services. The least they can do is to be helpful, courteous, and polite, but instead they acted like I was the biggest inconvenience of their day. $70 to be treated so awful? I think not. I will never be bringing my business back here again. Do yourselves a favor and go to the bike place in the center of town. They are always friendly and happy to help.

My first stop in was several years ago when I went through while killing time between a deposition and a court hearing and had heard Jim Thorpe was a good biking destination. My brothers were in Moab that day and I had to do something to feel like I wasnt completely left behind. I spoke with one of the owners of the shop, who was pleasant enough, and I remember being told Jim Thorpe was a top 5 biking destination in the U.S. I just nodded and smiled while thinking of about a dozen better destinations (none of which are east of the Mississippi River). Fast forward a couple of years and I brought my bike along with me to ride after a deposition in the area. I had to switch out a tire from a semi-slick to my knobby and forgot to grab my pump before leaving the house that morning. Having been in this shop before I went back to get some air and was told they have a hose out front. In response to my question to this same owner I dealt with before of whether the hose out front had a Presta adapter I received a blank look like, "What is that?" A younger girl took my wheel to the work area and began looking around but it was readily apparent she did not know what to look for. I jumped behind the counter and did it myself. Any half decent shop, especially a shop in what is billed as a biking destination area, should readily know what a Presta valve is. Next time I am in the area I will check out the shop across the way.

I used them twice in 2010 for renting bikes and using the shuttle. The only reason I am writing this now is because I just got back from vacation up there and used the shop right in the middle of town and had such a better experience. When using Blue Mountain last year it was almost as though it was an inconvenience that my family and I were even renting bikes and using the shuttle. NOT kid friendly at all; in fact they were just flat out not friendly at all. The whole process was extremely unorganized. Completely opposite experience when I used the place right in the center of town this year. It may have been a little more expensive (not positive) but completely worth it. Friendly, knowledgeable and extremely kid friendly.

We did previous day booking over the phone for Bikes, shuttle and caboos(for our little one). We gave our credit card details and reserved the trip. But next day, the rude and arrogant staff member increased the price by some 40$ saying she forgot to add some service fees. We said we booked the trip on the price mentioned to us yesterday. She said, I will cancel the trip if you dont pay the extra 40$. All the stores nearby were booked with the caboos. So we had no option, but to pay extra 40$. She could had apologize, saying it was there mistake and we would have paid those extra bucks.... But her attitude towards the customers was very rude. The staff member name was nicole. The caboos for my little one was very old too.

The bigger bike company in town was very rude over the phone so I went to Blue Mountain instead. I had called the other company because I was running late and said in the rudest tone possible that I would have to be 45 minutes early to the shuttle or I wouldnt be allowed on. So I went to Blue Mountain instead and I got there just as the shuttle left and an employee here carried my bike out of my van, ran with it to the shuttle that was already off and turning the corner, and flagged it down to let me on. I sat in the front and had a delightful conversation with the kind and cheerful shuttle driver all the way up. My family had a terrific day that we would have had to cancel if Blue Mountain hadnt come to my rescue.
