I had previously used Hatboro Jewelers for repairs and had been reasonably pleased, although the strand of pearls that were restrung do pull off the clasp easily (they are heavy for the clasp and I was not really blaming the repair job). The service, and attitude, were completely different when I brought some scrap gold (mostly mis-matched earrings) to sell, as I keep hearing about the high price of gold. They were extremely unpleasant twice, and told me to come back twice (the second time I went elsewhere, and the amount paid was the same as that quoted, and the man was extremely pleasant, and will likely get my future repair business). If they are not comfortable taking scrap precious metal, why do they say they do? And apparently I am not the same person when I am disposing of stray earrings as when I have an expensive piece of jewelry to repair. I was very disappointed in the experience, and will probably not use them again.

I used them many years ago to repair a piece of jewelry. They gave it back to me with a stone missing. They accused me of giving it to them that way, then replaced the stone using yellow rather than white gold so it stands out like a sore thumb. Later a friend bought an I.D. bracelet. They gave it to him with the name engraved very crooked. It was so bad he didnt even bother going back to them to have it redone because he thought they would just make it worse. They are horrible.

I called to ask some simple questions and was practically yelled at by the woman on the phone. Very rude and horrible customer service, I would never take any of my business here.
