Attitude!!! Just another gun place where the people behind the counter want to make you feel like YOU KNOW NOTHING about guns and theyre not willing to teach you! Walked in...saw the dog and a few other people milling around the office. Waited several minutes until a guy walked in from the outside to help me. I was hoping to shoot. The range was EMPTY. The guy asked, "Where you from?" I said Maryland. He then replied that Id have to buy a $30 membership, but if I was from any other non-connecting state it would be free. I politely passed. I then took a look at the used pistols. A white-haired man came out and asked if I needed help. I politely said, "Im just browsing thanks - but I am looking for a CZ." He then proceeds to show me a Czech gun that looks like an Uzi. I said, "Great looking gun. I was thinking more like a CZ75 clone." I then noticed the Barreta Nano w/laser. I asked if I could see it. He pulled the slide back and put it on the counter. I examined it, picked it up, finger never touching the trigger...and asked, "Wheres the slide release?" Whoops!!! BRoken rule. Evidently you should know EVERY DETAIL of every gun before walking into the Freedom Armory. I got the curt, "Mag release." I said, "Pardon." He said, "Mag release...release the mag." I said, "Hmmm. OK...thats interesting. You have to release the mag to close the slide." I looked at the gun for about 20 more secs and placed it on the counter and thanked him. Then, just as I was walking out, I noticed a CZ75 in the new gun counter. Wow...wonder why that wasnt mentioned? So I say, "say...heres that CZ75," and stood there kinda looking at it as if it was a puppy behind the glass. The old man just says, "Mmmm hmmm," as if to say..."Yeah...Im done showing guns for the day." Man I really hate the smug, snarky, attitudes you get in gun stores!!!

I will NEVER spend my hard earned cash here. This gunstore/range is exactly why folks take their business to online retailers and big box stores. I was in on 7/23. After waiting 30 minutes the older skinny bald gentlemen walked away and took someone who had just walked in after telling me I was next. Even when I said something he put his hand up to basically tell me to shut up. Little did he know the 20 dollar magazine he was selling was nothing compared to the money I was prepared to spend on a few thousand rounds of ammo as well as a sight and optics for 3 of my guns. I was would have spend a good bit of coin. Well looks like someone else will be getting my money. I am really tired of walking into gun shops and being treated like garbage. I guess thats the standard practice with non member. I would have even signed up for a membership if they wouild have spoken to me about the perks.

I recently had a long rifle duracoated by the store gun smith. The price was very expensive ($325.00 in labor only). I expected a very professional job for that amount of money. The job was decent. Not close to a factory finish but decent. More than a few imperfections. I personally would not recommend the duracoat services. The first time we visited the store, dropping off the rifle, we spoke with a very friendly staff member Scott. However picking up the rifle was a night and day difference. Just a pay and get out attitude. I also felt nickel and dimed by the 3% additional fee for using a credit card to pay for the duracoat service. Total cost for duracoat was $355.00. Cant say Ill be back to purchase anything else.

The armory is always nice to go to. Good experience for shooting at the range. They also have a nice selection of guns, ammunition and accessories. The only down side to this facility is the staff. Not friendly and makes strange comments each time I go. For instance insinuating that we have never been there before or have not shot a weapon before. Even though my dad has been a member for awhile and brought in my entire family for memberships. Very off putting being as we spend a good amount of money here. We are knowledgeable about firearms so it would be nice to be treated as such. Overall the facility is nice, they just need to work on the customer service.

Shooting range is state of the art and always kept clean. I have renewed my membership 3 times so I do find it an enjoyable place to shoot. It is pricey but expected for how well the facility is maintained. I purchased my Glock at Freedom Armory and received a very detailed explanation of the gun from someone who was well trained. I also purchased Crimson Trace grips for my Kimber from Freedom Armory and received the same detailed information as I did when purchasing the Glock. Large selection of new and used firearms and the fact that you can rent a firearm you get the benefit of a "Try before you buy" if you are not sure of what firearm to purchase.

This place was so rude!!! My husband and I were waiting over 30 min and after telling us we were next the guy(older, skinny, bald guy with glasses) took someone who just walked in the door. This was after i watched 2 other cashiers take 2 other ppl that jad just walked in. Once we told them we were from MD and werent members he was rude so I am assuming thats why he ignored us. Pretty stupid on his part tho bc those ppl were buying a $20 item while my husband would have spent over $1k on ammo and accessories for his guns. Maybe they should give a customer service class there or just not let non members in period if they are gonna treat them like garbage.

I could tell you a long story on why I they deserve 5 stars but I will make it quick. Incredible product, I own several silencers and theirs is by far the most well constructed and the quietest. But the icing on the cake is their customer support. I just got off the phone with them and they had to correct a problem that the business where I bought it created. Not only were the polite but they went above and beyond by helping me solve someone elses mistake in a timely matter. Keep and eye on this business, they are soon to become the new premium silencer that others compare themselves to.

Generally they have good prices on bulk ammo, guns you have to watch. Very reasonable pricing on used guns, new ones are generally the normal going rate but dont expect any haggling or anything even if youve bought there a few times. Friendly staff and a clean range, but the "become a member first, then pay a lane rental time on top of that" as well as the 3% surcharge for CC purchases makes me lean towards some other gun stores/ranges. If youre a first time shooter this is a great place to start. If youre experienced check it out, but do your research on what youre buying.

Having been to several indoor shooting ranges, Freedom Armory is no doubt the best locally. They offer 12 handgun lanes (25yards) and 4 rifle lanes (50 yards) with automatic target retrieval systems. The range is in great condition, unlike some others I have seen. The shop is bright, clean and well-organized. Staff is always friendly and helpful, and the selection is very wide. The only possible drawback I can thing of is the low-volume of hunting and sporting longarms, but thats not what their operation is geared for.
