I give them a 0 rating but the site forces me to give them at least 1 star. Definitely not deserving. This is not the first time I have had a VERY POOR experience at the Advance Auto in Enola, PA. this is literally the 3rd time and with the same counter person. The young man that did not assist me, actually took bad service to an entirely new level. He decided to yell at me in a store with 2 other patrons standing by and watching the entire ugly situation unfold. I began with a simple question, can you help me? I dont know much about cars and I read that my car takes 5W20 oil, synthetic or partial synthetic. He looked at me as though I were an idiot and just shrugged his shoulders and said "I dont know." My response was, "well what does the computer say?" He looked it up, turned the screen to me and as obnoxiously as he could possibly manage to respond, he said "well there it is 5W20." What kind do you want? I answered, Im not sure what you are asking me. Is there any way you might be able to help me to put the oil in or show me how? His response, flat out was "NO." The thing is, any other Advanced Auto and even a different person at this location, would have helped me or given me some guidance on what to do. This person is the only person I have ever had such a bad experience with. The fact that this young man felt the need to shout at me throughout the store and even came out from behind the counter to do so, is very unsettling. I am not a helpless woman, but he made me feel helpless. Thankfully my son in law entered the store. At that point, he ceased yelling at me. Then he was very condescending and at one point, he threatened to call the police. I invited him to do so and told him I would wait. The story would be interesting at best, considering he was yelling at me and I was just fighting back. I was truly disgusted with the service. I will never purchase anything from them again. Id rather drive 20 minutes out of my way.

i went in to buy some replacement parts for my car and the boy at the desk wouldnt even give me the time of day. he kept talking with his co workers and playing with his cell phone and not even paying attention to me. I kept having to repeat myself when asking for things because he was being so inattentive and rude. I ordered some parts they didnt have in stock and they said they would call me when they arrived. A few days go by and no call. So I call them and they told me that it had been there a day after I ordered it. I asked why they didnt call and whomever i spoke to said that they never call when when orders come in and that its the customers responsibility to keep tabs on their orders. I said that was fine but they shoudnt tell people that they will call when they place orders. Furthermore, when i did pick them up, they were extremely heavy (and Im only 5 5" and not too strong) and no one even offered to take them to my car and i had to make several trips. So when i took the parts to my mechanic it turns out that advance auto gave me the wrong parts...big surprise. So i had to pay extra labor costs because they had to put it back together after they tore it apart and couldnt fit the parts. Ive shopped at auto zone mostly, but had recently moved and advance was closer to where i live so i gave them a try, but that was a huge mistake. I expected better after blowing $300 in their store. Screw you advance auto! I will never shop at any of your stores again and neither will any of my friends or family. Thanks for nothing!

Although I admit to reading the previous review after being at many AAP stores this is not typical. Also, often customers give wrong car info as I watch and wonder how that will turn out. It wouldnt hurt to ask for help but, the employee should have automatically helped anyway. Autozone has the same parts and generally service and will price match as will Advance...decide on more than one experience
