Ive been going to Pep Boys on Stefko for inspection since 2011, and whether it was a tire or a bulb that needed replacement in order to pass, I was told each time that I needed to buy the part from them or Id have to pay the full price for inspection all over again. Knowing little about cars, I didnt think much of it until I patronized a Meineke across the street on a day Pep Boys was too busy to perform my 2017 inspection. It was there that I learned forcing a customer to buy your parts is a common hustle, and that a reputable company always grants a customer the opportunity to shop for lower cost parts elsewhere without the threat of having to pay full price for inspection and emissions testing so long as the parts are purchased within the legal timeframe and replaced by the initial testing facility. I was conned out of hundreds of dollars by Pep Boys for years and will never again patronize another one of their facilities. My rating for them would be in the negative if Id been given the option.

Went there on Wednesday cause my brakes were making noise and George the assistant manager pulled the car right in.He then proceeded to remove my tires and discovered that my brakes were metal to metal.Then he gave a couple of options and we decided to go with the middle package(they come with lifetime warranty pads and rotors)and everything got done in less than a hour.He did sign me up for the rewards program and my brake inspection was free!Very professional friendly services.Highly recommended!

not trying to solve problem but selling parts, did a state inspection there and I asked them to help me check the tires to see if they needed some air they said everything was fine and i was good to go. Later I found out that one of my tire was damaged because of their incaution, and they tried to sell me the tires, why dont you bought me? I dont know if there is other problem that they failed to find out.

Went in to get a set of tires...while installing my tires I asked for a price quote for an complete engine tune-up... Mind you this is a 1991 Buick...700 dollars is what they quoted..REALLY..OMG I was born at night but not last night..I was insulted..I mean cmon if you dont want the job say so but 700 dollars..never again..And I am telling everybody..STAY AWAY PREDATORY PRICE GOUGERS...NUFF SAID..

I am trying to get new tires put on my car. Every time I call into this Pepboys (even tho their hours claim there open until 7PM) they say there closed. Happened twice now when calling in at 6PM EST on 4/14/2015 If you say your open until 7PM - and people including myself work M-F 8AM-6PM I expect them to be open. Never again will go back to this location.

Entered into an agreement on a price with the night manager when I dropped off a set of wheels. When I went in the next day to pick them up, the day manager quoted me for $35 more than I was quoted the night before. This place cant be trusted. Luckily theyre one of many places along Stefko blvd, so just avoid these guys and bring your business elsewhere

I was charged $230+ on labor for a hour and half long visit. I was there for a state inspection and they end up telling me that my car has severe security issue and all 4 tiers need to be replaced asap. They didnt realize one of the tier was replaced at their shop last year and is basically new... how ironic!

These guys saved the day for me! My sunroof was stuck open, on a holiday no less, on a day that it was pouring! Thankfully they were open and although very busy, they were able to help me get it closed, while on top doing an oil change for me at the last minute. I was very greatful for their help!!!!

Tire pressure warning light went off 200 miles from home on the interstate. These guys, despite having a full waiting room, patched it and had me back on the road in less than an hour for less than 30 bucks. Thanks guys!

This "garage"s Lifts cant handle Lowered Cars. But they say "our store in Atown can (?) Just go across st to Meinieki. Plus, the Attitude didnt Help, which =2Stars

I used to love this store. But now, always upselling other parts when doing inspection. If not buy, you will fail. Incrediblely high labor, almost $300 per hour.
