Every Friday for the past couple of months I have been buying doughnuts from Donut Land for the company I work for. Every other experience has been fine, however, after the shocking experience I had today I will not be returning. When I arrived it looked like the person was delaying and not wanting to help me, he finally did and everything was just fine. When I went to pay, this man kept mumbling under his breath in his own language and I patiently ignored it. I gave him my card, and when the transaction was done he threw the card back on the box and said something along the lines of have a good day. I was confused, since Im paying with a credit card and needed to get reimbursed, I needed a receipt. He didnt stop there, he kept mumbling and the last word that I clearly heard and understood was "sharmuta" (Google it, its arabic) and I looked at him and told him that I knew what it meant. I ripped my own receipt out of the printer and left completely in shock. Upon inspecting my receipt I noticed he had charged me $10 extra, so I went back, and he was there so I refused to talk to him until someone else was able to help me out. I asked for a manager and the other man said he was the one that oversaw everyone, so I complained and got my money back. I was told that "everything would be okay" and nothing more. I cant believe they would have someone who has that much hatred towards women, in such a public position. Keep in mind that I work for a bank Im on my way to work, and Im dressed in business casual attire.

If there was a way to give this establishment negative stars I would. This is a review on their delivery service, they do not value customer loyalty or even remotely appear to care if they deliver our food at all. Their delivery service is terrible, never ever have I dealt with a company who cares less for customers. This is coming from a company that has had food picked up or delivered for them for 7 years. CON - Rather than calling a company contact they made it habit to leave boxes of food wherever. On the ground in the rain or on the ground by our warehouse loading dock next to the large garbage are particularly bad spots. Again they have a couple of numbers to call but choose not to - They ignore calls from our company, we know this because when employees call from their cell immediately after trying from our landline they pick up. More times than not, we call to let them know not to deliver on a certain date or to let them know we never got a delivery. - Sometimes they just dont deliver, and they never ever call to let us know our food isnt coming so in some cases someone in the office has to go to Donutland because they dont pick up the phone OR go to another place for breakfast items - When we do speak with someone, it is obvious they dont value our complaints as valid PRO - The baked goods themselves are good, but pick them up yourself

I showed up with the intentions this was a good donut shop... the zagat ratings were really high(26/30) and peoples said things tasted great. My experience was far from excellent in many ways. The two guys working kept ignoring customers ready to order. They would take one order, and with people still in line they would then disappear for a few mins to the back room. Upon looking around the room in shock and asking them to come back out, they would their arrive back were met with a response "well we still have other things to do in the back" ....im thinking, more than current customers in line?! I got to say out of all the customer service and sales ive experienced, ive never seen it so bad for a donut shop. Not to mention the donut quality reminded me of the donuts you can get at safeway. I would much rather go to Voodoo or krispy kreme where the place is clean, or the donuts are totally out of this world. I really got to say for the rating of 26 of 30 on zagat im really not impressed they should be rated about a 10. i will not recommend or be coming back with any of my family or friends.

I drove over to Tualatin yesterday to go to Donut Land and get an apple fritter. I was hoping they had other flavors as well, but they didnt. Although the fritter I bought was good, it wasnt really an apple fritter. In my mind, fritters are misshapen and have crusty edges from frying. They are lumpy and have fruit inside and they are WONDERFUL. This fritter was smooth, no crispy edges at all and very little fruit. I got only one piece of apple in mine. The dough was soft and tasted great, but it was more like a regular donut than a fritter and it didnt satisfy my craving. Bottom line: its not worth the drive. TI can get better fritters at the grocery story (and theyre only just okay). :(

If you live in the portland area, then you probably know that voodoo doughnuts is overrated. not bad, but they have quantity (wide selection of uniqe doughnuts) over quality. Doughnut land however is as good as or surpasses krispy kreme doughnuts, and they are pretty cheap for the size of some of the apple fritters or big maple bars you can get. their dough used is really soft and sweet, and the frosting is delicious. if you have never been to doughnut land, I suggest you take a visit. also there used to be another doughnut shop across the street that closed recently, probably because Doughnut land took all their buisness.

These are the best donuts I have ever had, and Ive eaten many donuts in my years. They dont do fancy lavender and bacon pastries, just great traditional donuts. They are so light and soft and fresh! So much better than Crispy Creams, VooDoo (although their box is delightful), Winchells, or Dunken. My very favorites are the maple bars. So soft and perfectly sweet with plenty of frosting. Other greats are the blueberry fritters, the light as a feather crullers, and the perfectly filled jellies. These are not your grocery store donuts! These are perfection!

GREAT local doughnut shop! It can get busy on mornings and weekends and tends to get a little noisy, especially with the children screaming out of joy because of such great doughnuts. Definitely come and check out this local family owned shop. AND yes, sometimes the customer service is a bit straight forward and not all fluffy, but its nothing personal, of coarse. it is kinda hard to stay peppy when youve got a constant line out of the door and need to get business taken care of. When it comes to doughnuts... THESE GUYS ARE IT.

Really wanted donuts today. Bought 2. Right after buying them I looked over and saw someone in the back room area drop a donut onto the ground. He picked up the donut with one of those paper things and put it right onto his tray he was bringing out to the counter area. I assume it was the owner or manager saw him drop the donut by mistake and pick it up and put it on the tray! Disgusting! Although the floor is littered with donut droppings thats absolutely gross! Wont ever go there again.
