My father in law is a Navy veteran and has made a lot of very big purchases from this store in the last few months (because of building a house). Today he was making almost a $2000 dollar purchase and wanted the veterans discount, which he has recieved every time hes been there. With receipts as proof of that. The assistant manager and a clerk stood there and argued with him that his veteran card wasnt legit, he even offered to get his dd214 out of his truck to show them. They said it wasnt a document in their list that they approve of, they advised him to go to the VA and get an ID. This didnt sit well with me, not only had he got this discount everytime he had been there, but for them to stand and argue with him even after he offered government documents, was absolutely ridiculous. In this same trip while standing with my kids in an isle, a home depot employee made fun of my son for having pigeon toes, by standing behind him and turning his feet inward, imitating my son. He looked up and saw me, I gave him a look. If looks could kill, that would been it. The guy was lucky my mother in law was there as well, otherwise I would have said something. And hes really lucky my husband wasnt there at that moment. We are very disappointed with this store. We have bought thousands of dollars worth of stuff from them and I think nows a good time to not go back. In the end my father in law did get the discount only because I made him show all his receipts from there that he had gotten it. But no apology for his treatment or making him stand there for 20 minutes in the checkout line.

Do not special Order from Home Depot. I ordered nearly 6k in material. Neither of them arrived close to the time stated on my invoices. My flooring was to arrive on 3rd of July. It arrived July 18th, 15 days late. I also ordered french doors that were to arrive July 8th. They are arrived July 28th. Nearly THREE WEEKS late. This is extremely disruptive and destroys ones timeline of work and throws everything off. The most disgusting part is that my French doors were sent from the factory on the 10th of July. It took City Sprint Delivery 18 days to deliver from the factory in Oregon to my house in Oregon. This is absurd. Then, they do not want to bring the stuff to my front door. The delivery guy for the flooring cussed on many occasions because my driveway was gravel and these were on pallets. How does that make a customer feel? I have switched to Lowes for special orders and deliveries as they delivery quickly and bring it inside the home where I want it. Home Depot does not do this. However, this particular flooring is what my wife wanted and we just got the door there for convenience. I will never do this again. Do yourself a favor and if Home Depot does not carry the product, or you need delivery, get it from Lowes or ProBuild.

I called to rent a tools, was hung up on and had to call back. When I did, I spoke with the same guy, Mark, who convinced me that I should take my business elsewhere due to his lack of customer service. When I asked to talk to someone else, he told me that he was helping someone else and put me on hold. That was my sign that Home Depot was not the place for me to do business with. I would have given this review a 1 star, however, thanks to Mark I am now renting my equipment at Total Rental Center, where I will be paying 1/3 less for the rental. Even the deposit is lower. When life gives you lemons, make lemonade, right?

After struggling with what colors to paint our open cabinet kitchen, living room, bedrooms, bathrooms and ceiling...I had almost given up...then I found a placemat at the dollar tree with all the colors I was looking for! This is where Denise in the paint department came in :) Not only did she help me find the colors from a mottled place mat, she helped me pick the sheens I needed for sponge effect and cleanability! She was so incredibly helpful I could not help but give a shout out to this girl! Thanks Denise! I will definitely be reccomending you in the future! :)

I was visiting a family member at Mount Hood Medical Center and wanted a nice plant they could take home once they were released. Brett from The Home Depot went the extra mile and helped me pot the plant so it would look perfect next to her bedside (instead of the flimsy black container). Since I dont live around here it was so nice of them to help me in my time of need, way to make my day!

My husband and I were fortunate enough to have been helped by an associate name Bill while picking out appliances. He was helpful, patient, and answered all of our questions. He completely explained how to receive all rebates and was helpful when we picked up our appliances as well. This was an above average service experience compared to other Home Depots I have been to recently.

I am on oxygen and I asked Michelle at your Troutdale Or store where was the salt for softer water and I was on a handicap scooter that is the stores and I had a basket pulling it she not only loaded it but pushed it out to the car and put in my trunk. I want to thank your professional way that a handicap person is handle by your store and would recommend

Pooor customer service..... Assist. Manager BILL behave like a f... a.. h... telling me i could not pick up my fence boards that i already paid for......... almost an hr drive and i cnt get what i paid for.. didnt even try to solve the problem. Didnt spend not even 1 min to tlk to a custome becausr he walked away....

One of the better spots, one of the only out on this side of town besides one other Lowes too. The layout is simple and easy to remember after your first trip and the staff is very helpful. Dont try to turn left out of the main entrance though. Too many cars during most hours so you may be sitting their awhile.

I visit here once to twice a week for home repairs. The staff are great and always there to help you find what you need. 4 stars because their paint department is poor. Go somewhere else for paint

Its your usual Home Depot, they have everything that you need,. But sometimes trying to find somebody to find something, is a problem. But once you do, they always know where to go.
