Hate hate hate this toys r us!!! Have not been there for 3 years!!! My daughter had saved her money and bought a digital camera for 70$. The thing was wrapped, so we could not try it out in the store. Got home and it was a total piece of junk! Took it back the very next day with receipt - they would not take it back because it was considered " electronics". They offered to replace it with the exact same thing, which was not acceptable and thankfully they did not have any more do they offered her in store credit. She bought a 20$ camera which worked way better and got some other things. Customer service was VERY rude through the whole thing...then 3 years later to today... My mom goes in to buy something for my niece on her way out of town to California. She finds something that I had been looking for for my daughter and there is only one left, so she purchased it and asked them to hold it up front and I would be in to pick it up within hours. They flat out said no- they have no where to hold it! Even though they can hold on to Internet purchases...hmmmm go figure. Glad I have not given in and gone there...I now shop at smaller business like piccolo mondo where customer service is always great and the offer free gift wrap and you get unique gifts! A final good bye to you toys r us!!!

Very badly managed. -They will supposedly honor their own web sale prices, but to get that web sales price, you need to pull up the sale on you smart phone and prove it to the register clerk that indeed, Toys R Us has this thing on sale. i.e. They will not pull it up on their own computers, even though it is their own website. -Blocked aisles. Always. They put large displays right in the middle of the main aisles. -They have confusing sales tags: e.g. Putting a sales tag on the shelf under a certain Transformer, only to be at the register that "Oh No. That sale is for a slightly different Transformer." If there were any other option for toys on the west side of Portland, I would use it. Unfortunately there is not.

I am signed up with their email list. I was able to use a 10 percent off and a save $10 off your purchase of $100 or more. The sales were so good that I didnt have enough stuff to reach $100. The sales associate was super nice and helpful and put my order on hold so I could go grab something else. After the purchase I got a $10 gift card given to me, from another online coupon. Very pleased, bought tons of stuff!! And while I was shopping the employees were very helpful and knew where things were. On first try an employee found me the last of the flying Ironman. I cant believe I found stocking stuffers for $1.50 too! Thank you!!!

Ive always gone to this store for star wars toys for around 15 years and the last 2 years in a row they have never gotten the 3rd and 4th waves of the star wars 3 3/4 sized single pack figures which are the biggest draw for collectors anyway. Maybe they had gotten them but obviously never a substantial amount enough to even have what would be the peg warmers sitting around. They have plenty of what most collectors dont care about but the main draw for collectors always remains unreplenished

Its okay, perhaps they were having an off day but the shelves were in disarray in multiple departments - products did not match the tagging, empty spots with backstock visible just not worked ...I mad inquiries with two different staff members for a game and one said they didnt have it, the second directed me on a wild goose chase. By luck I found what I was looking for far and away from where I had been directed. I appreciate that it was in stock at all, hence the three stars.

This stores has had some really bad staff in years past. The staff that are their now are very helpful and kind. The know their products and are willing to go out of their way to help you. The only thing I would recommend is not to go on Saturday if you dont like crowds, it can get very busy on Saturdays. But then again what other store is not busy on Saturdays? All in all I think its a better store than it has been in the past. I will be shopping their again.

As the previous posters mentioned, this place SUCKS. The store is run down, filthy inside & out (apparently they cant even afford (or dont care) to pressure wash the outside of the building), trash in the parking lot, crowded/cluttered isles & the customer service (lack-of) doesnt even justify a "0" star rating... Avoid, avoid, avoid this place like the plague. We too shop locally - MUCH better toy quality & excellent, personal customer service.

They handle release days poorly. I was there today for an amiibo release and stood outside for 45 minutes before open and was one of the first there. After opening the store, a bunch of people NOT waiting in line ran in. They sold the figures to the people that just ran in instead of those waiting in line patiently. Total BS. They also said the day before they would have plenty of all of them but were sold out of 1/2 of them upon opening.

so, I was in there today and mangers were really rude. we found couple iteams that were .04 each. and they took it alway from our hands saying that they could not sell it to us. when I told them its the law they had to sell what ever price in rings up to the manger just started to laugh and said he had the right to refuse service to anyone he wanted. well guess, what? will no longer step in foot at a toys r us again.

Its toys r us. What can you expect? Lots of kids running around playing with toys their parents wont buy them. Kinda seemed like parents were using it as a play place not a store. Lots of things out of place. I dont blame the employees or the store, itd be hard to keep things in order in that situation. Overall, its fine, just not where I need to send any more time than I need to.

While incredibly busy at the Christmas time of year, I found the staff to be extremely helpful! They went all out to make sure we found what we were looking for, whether we had a specific item to find, or not. They also had great suggestions for us, based on age and personality of the child we were shopping for. Well done, ye elves of Santa Claus!!

I am amazed that a toy store has employees that really dont like being around kids. Employees were terrible and wasted an hour of our time. We finally went home (empty handed) and I thought I would call to try and get the item. The employee was talking to me and accidentally (I hope) hung up on me.

Good selection if you know what you want to get. Staff doesnt always know where everything is, but I cant blame them, the store has like a million toys. Its very corporate, not stocking the higher quality toys, but mostly plastic, popular, Hasbro stuff. It does have a good LEGO and playmobile section.
