Let me start off by saying this, I went to this shop loyally for years. I have pawned and bought Firearms, Guitars, Amplifiers, you name it. They were always fair and for the most part had good customer service, aside from a few times where I felt like they treated me like an idiot. But when I had my wife pawn one of my guitars for me to get us by for a week or two until payday, they blatantly lowballed her on my immaculate neckthru Jackson Soloist and would only loan her 125 on an 1800 dollar guitar. That was fine, I thought, as I would rather not pay an arm and a leg to get it back. Last friday I picked up my guitar without incident and didnt have a chance to open the case until Saturday. First thing I noticed was a 3" long scratch on the flamed maple top. Huge bummer. Plugged my guitar in and no sound. This sucks, I thought, but being a loyal customer for years I figured I would wait until monday and call them and ask if something had happened. When I called, I was met with pure hostility. Mind you, I was calm, I was not accusatory, I was not looking for cash compensation, I just wanted to know what happened to my guitar. The person on the phone literally called me stupid. He told me there was no way that the damage happened there and that I was an idiot to suggest as much. I told him that the guitar was in brand new condition when pawned. It was immaculate, literally. And he said it must not have been if I got it back scratched and broken. After trying to resolve the situation calmly and getting nothing but insults and hostility I decided I would just seek repairs on the guitar and cut my losses. Needless to say, this shop has lost a loyal customer. If you have made it this far into thus review, consider going somewhere else. All that glitters is about a mile south on lancaster. Capital Pawn on portland rd. and commercial st. Has great prices and outstanding customer service. Nopps downtown is a great shop as well. These people have lost a loyal customer for LIFE. I will never take another item or purchase another item from this shop. Seriously, do yourself a favor and avoid this place.

Today, I drove an hour to try and sell two of my guitar amps at this place. I said "I called yesterday about the guitar amps." He replied, "Bring them in." I then said "Well one of them is really heavy" and before I could even finish my sentence, he says, "I dont go outside." This amp easily weighs 100 pounds and he couldnt come outside for 5 seconds to see if he was even interested. He also didnt offer to help me. After getting the amps in myself, he didnt want the little one because it had two busted knobs. I completely understand that, but then he only offered me $40 for the heavy amp. I told him that when I bought it, I almost paid $400 and could I at least get $80 out of it? He looked at me like I was stupid and thought I didnt know what I was talking about. I bought this amp brand new straight from the company and Im sure Ive been in the music business way longer than he has. I have never dealt with such a bigger jerk in my life! At least he could of been nice about it but instead he turns me down right away and then ignores me very rudely. I dont understand how people can do business like that. He just lost a customer for life.

DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE!!!!!!! I will never step foot in this shop again and I will tell EVERY person I know to do that same. The guy is rude, mean, has 110% NO CUSTOMER SERVICE AT ALL, he is also VERY Racist. Treats you like crap and acts as if he is doing you a favor. He must be really stupid because customers are what make his business run and if he keeps treating people like crap hes not going to have any! The #1 reason to stay away from this place is this guy pays 25-30% less then the other shops in the Salem area and they treat you MUCH better!!!! Go here only if you want a bad attitude and a bad deal!

This guy is a jerk, treats people poorly and then threatens people for not liking his rip off ways, wow makes me want to do business elsewhere, when you pull in there driveway you see and BMW with custom blue paint, and a luxury edition Range Rover, ask yourself how they where able to afford them with a empty parking lot, (they steal from you)

I went there to buy a guitar, a christmas gift for my Daughter. I Showed up at 5:05. They close at 5. I can appreciate that they have lives too,but its Christmas time. and they close early on the following day.Two hours before i get off work. Very VERY poor customer service in my opinion.

Worst experience of my life. Hope the Guy behind the counter with rose tatt on his forearm gets hit by a bus! Had $1100 to spend on a gun and his attitude sent me down the to Glitters. I hope the place burns down!

I have been going in here for years and was shocked at some of the reviews I just read!!! Every time I go in here I get a fair deal, they have helped me out in the hardest times (when other pawn shops wouldnt)!
