The service at this store is horrible. We went to the store to pick up some prescription cat food. We went to the attached Banfield to buy the food but were told to pick it up and pay for it at Petsmart. While still at Banfield, we needed a copy of the prescription and the computers were slow so it took forever. We went over to where the cat food was at Petsmart and couldnt find it. My husband had to chase down a clerk and yell at me to stop her because she ignored his three attempts to call her. Then she just pointed in the direction of where the prescription cat food was located. Once we found the aisle, we couldnt find the specific type we needed. I said out loud that we needed help, but the other clerk just walked on by. I didnt notice her until it was too late and she ducked into a doorway before I could get her attention. Im sure she heard me. Finally I went to the cashier and asked if there was someone that could help us. He hollered at the guy doing inventory and we finally got the help we needed. This could all have been avoided if the person in the Banfield clinic had shown us where the food was in the beginning, or if the first person at Petsmart had provided actual customer service and walked us over and helped us find what we needed.

Ive been shopping at this Petsmart for years, and never had a negative experience. I have cats, a dog, and fish. They have lots of dog and cat stuff, plus a huge selection of fish to look at & buy. Ive always found an employee in the fish section to help me with technical questions, and though they arent true "fish professionals" they are always very helpful and seem to know their stuff. Ive bought 20+ fish from them over several years and never had any croak on me prematurely or pollute my tank with diseases. Many people are quick to blame the fish store but in my experience its all about having a healthy tank for them to come home to, and knowing how to properly acclimate your fish, clean your tank, and watch for red flags before it becomes a major disaster. Ive had bad experiences at Petco but none at Petsmart. The employees have always been are upbeat and helpful. Not what youd expect from a big-box retail outfit.

This people know what they are doing. The animals seem nicley taken care of and happy. I personally bought a fish here and I noticed one day that he was growing Ick on his fin. I obviously quarantined him, put the other fish in plastic suites and called an ambulance. They took him to the clinic and said that he was old and probably wouldnt be able to help much. They said I could just flush him now or feed him to a kitty cat. After confronting the surgeon I took him home and was going let him swim around the Tiki men until he turned into a white fuzzy snowflake but I remembered Petsmart. So I went in and they gave me some green koolaid-looking powder. I put it in the water and the Ick began to go away. It turns the water radio-active green color but they said it would work. I did 2 treatments total and it cured him. Sadly the Headstone I had engraved couldnt be returned so I guess Ill just hold on to it.

Ive taken my pets in here one time, and Ill never take them again. I normally go to PETCO to get grooming needs taken care of but Petsmart was $1 cheaper so I checked their hours then headed down there.. When I got there the grooming center was closed and it was only like 7:45, the hours say 9 on the website AND the door. So I asked someone and she told me to go up front and theyll page someone to help me. I asked the girl up front to do that and she VERY RUDELY told me that the groomers went home at 6pm. HOW CAN YOUR GROOMING CENTER BE OPEN TIL 9 IF YOU SEND YOUR GROOMERS HOME AT 6?!?!? When I asked her that she didnt have an answer. I was livid and wont be coming back. Ill spend the extra $1 at PETCO.

I took my boys to Petsmart a few times and I was so upset with their care of the animals there. I caught one groomer screaming at a dog (not mine) and being very rough with it. They were rude to us...they called me and yelled at me because my dog was scared and urinated and deficated in their facility. (Well, when you are mean to him, what do you expect?) We called and asked for an appointment and were told they had an "immediate" opening, took our dog right in and over 3 hours later we called and were told they hadnt even started on him yet. (I was livid!) They are unprofessional, cold and down right mean. I wont be going back!

I have a little Yorkie puppy, found most of what I needed here but they dont stock small enough harnesses. They offered me a Puppy Starter Kit, which I figured wouldnt hurt since I was buying enough stuff to make it pay for itself, but two of the coupons were already expired, so the cashier had to manually enter the discounts. One of the discounts didnt get added so I returned to the store and they gave me a refund for the difference. although I saved some money with it, It would have been a better shopping experience without the puppy starter kit. Too many complications.

The fish dept is a mixed bag. Some employees seem to know what they are talking about, while another does not. I was encouraged to get six small fish at one time for my 2 gal fish tank. Stupid me should have researched that better, but I thought I was talking to a professional. Also same guy gave my sister horrible advice for her tank. But a couple Id the employees there do seem to know whats up. I encourage independent research.

Took my Shih Tzu in for a hair cut, nail trim, bath, and gland expression. For the money I paid I was very unimpressed. The hair cut was a hack job, she didnt smell any better, and it was the same cost as the 100 lb dog that was there at the same time. In general, I find that locally owned small businesses are cheaper, higher quality, and more caring. Ive learned my lesson and will keep clear of the chain pet stores.

A nice place to bring your dog or your cat just to walk very friendly very outgoing very honest and trustworthy employees they will not take advantage of you and if they do not know the answer they will find out and check out their fish really really caring towards animals and really knowledgeable customer service and honestly omitted I bought my Pomeranian in and trust me on getting a discount

I will NEVER go back I bought 30.00 in some cool fish everyone died plus the new fish apparently had ick and it transfered to my tank killing almost all my fish that Ive had for years. I called the manager who was less than pleasant about the whole thing. For this and this alone I will NEVER EVER go back and neither will ANYBODY I know...
