This place is all sparkleglitter glass-and-brass and is stuffed with mid- and upscale brand stores. We were there to visit the Clarks Shoes outlet, where we received excellent service; my comments here are not about them. There are a lot of stores here, but no store directory that we could find. We found the store we wanted by wandering aimlessly until we stumbled on to it. Later, we wanted to use the restroom, but couldnt find that, either. The staff at the shoe store had given us directions, but we got confused by the layout (there is some remodeling in progress). We finally asked a rather irritable security guard for help. The guard seemed annoyed at being asked for directions--they were there to *guard*, not to be a tour guide. I doubt that whoever designed the place ever had to shop there.

Good: * great selection of stores in an attractive structure, inside and out * technically covering four city blocks, the majority of the mall in its multi-levels covers two city blocks, with the lower level connected under 4th Ave; each of the two main structures have entrances on all four corners making this mall easy to get in and out of when walking the downtown area * while suburban malls struggle, this one seems to be doing very well capitalizing on the large amount of food traffic in the area; a thriving mall is a good mall! Bad: * unlike most malls, dining options are very limited (but its not an issue at all as restaurants are just steps away in the downtown area

I have mixed feelings about this place. On one hand its an architectural wonder being a full mall 4 blocks big in a downtown urban area. Once you get inside it is like any other suburban mall with all the amenities and food and shopping you want on multiple stories. On the other hand being downtown is horrible cause parking and anything other than mass transit or bike will be super annoying to deal with. I spend most of my time trying to find a parking space and just getting to the mall. It certainly isnt my first choice for a mall but it is tacky cool to go to once in a great while when I want to deal with getting there.

Has essential stores & parking validation if you spend $25 or more. Food court is lacking, has your mall staples but they lost the Hot Dog On A Stick which is a huge disappointment. So if you want food, most will head to the outdoor food carts. Management should strike a deal and get some of the successful carts to franchise inside the mall. Overall the mall needs an update, it has a stable management company so Im surprised it seems so dead and stuck in the nineties.

This is an indoor mall with lots of small chain and independent stores, but Macys is the only big department store. If you find yourself to be a tourist and it is raining, which is does lot in this area, you cna spend day browsing and possibly finding souvenirs. The mall is several buildings connected via tunnels and bridges and it is easy to get turned around and lose your way. I am away re of there beign any parking for this mall at all.

The only major indoor mall on the west side in Portland. Typical mall fare, theres a movie theater, a bar/bowling alley, and all the types of stores that youd expect at a large retail center. If youre in a pinch and need to grab a gift or little something, I suppose its a decent enough launching off point. Most of the time Ill grab food from the Alder food carts and then sit at a table if the weathers too nasty to eat outside.

They have occasional bazares the Tri Met ticket office is located here as wellness you can purchase Trip ID cards , monthly bus passes and trip tickets. Starbucks is here as well as a variety of food carts and located in the middle of all that downtown Portland has to offer and with Microsoft and apple located just one and two block walk. A Christmas holiday season the Portland tree is a site for all to see.

Its a mall, one of many. Its chief virtue lies in its being at the heart of downtown Portland, which is also its greatest liability: why congregate in one building to shop when ALL of Portlands retail is a few blocks walk away? Business suffered dreadfully during the Great Recession but storefronts are starting to reopen and the adult nightlife zone on the upper floors is popular with the urbanite set.

This is the worlds nicest bus stop. I have mixed feelings, as the mall is under renovation. My favorite security guard is no longer there. (Bon voyage, brother Darrell, my Samoan friend. We miss you and your big-hearted smile.) Bridge City cookies were the best, I hope they return post-renovation. Im desperate for a Chipper fix! Come back soon. I miss being the upscale malls resident hobo.

This isnt really my kind of mall. I cant say others with a more expensive, designer fashion taste might not like it but for me, a poor/middle class guy who doesnt have to have designer stuff it just really doesnt connect with me. Very few stores that would interest me. The fountain is cool in the food court. I think in the decade Ive lived in Portland Ive only bought food there.

I rated Pioneer a 3 for the following reasons: - Parking is a hassle because the structure entrance is on a one-way street. If you miss it (which I tend to do often) you need to go around again. - Parking isnt free without validation - The mall is 4 stories, doesnt make it easy to hop store to store. - The food court is mediocre - No cell service in majority of the mall

Tolles aber überwiegend hochpreisig Kaufhaus. Alles sehr sauber und ordentlich gehalten. Auch die Toilette war sauber, hiervon gibt es allerdings zu wenige, sodass sich Schlangen bilden.

Weirdly empty. This mall is strange because it looks like a very cool mall aesthetically speaking. Unfortunately, there is a limited amount of stores and the biggest attraction is the Regal Cinema on the upper floor. It has an eerie vibe; very empty and half the stores are closed down. You can walk in on a Saturday afternoon and find the mall almost abandoned.

This used to be a pretty mediocre mall, but its definitely gotten better in the past year or two. Theres still a Regal theater there and a great bar where you can get good food and play lots of different kinds of games (Punch Bowl Social). If youre downtown and looking for a place to meander and also be entertained, the mall isnt a bad spot.

Went there last night after many years. Used to be really great with special stores. What happened? Cool stores have all left...many vacant spaces, depressing alimost desparate atmoshere. This after braving going doentiwn Portland at night. Was so looking for to some holiday spirit, lights, twinkle. Ended up feeling like being in mourning.

Its a mall. Its filled with tourists, teenagers, and suburbanites. Chain stores and a few that sell Portland-themed goods, in case you arent creative enough to shop the local neighborhood stores. It also houses one of the westsides two Regal cinemas, all the way at the top (be sure to allow plenty of time to make your way up there).

Feels like a lot of businesses are leaving what is an interesting space. The mall is a bit of a maze but not bad. It has 2 towers separated by an underground section of the mall. They have some eclectic shops but no large anchors. They are near a lot of other shopping and restaurants though which is nice.
