Ive never written a review for a makeup store before, but in this case, I must: Made an appointment here to get my makeup done for a wedding last weekend. (Mind you, I barely wear makeup, so its slightly intimidating to walk into a place thats selling it.) From the second I walked in, everyone was welcoming, warm, and definitely didnt care that I didnt have makeup on. The dude who was standing at the cashier was super nice, and then introduced me to Shannon, who would do my makeup. Shannon is THE BEST. I repeat: THE BEST. In addition to her wonderful demeanor, shes off-the-walls talented. Shes got an impressive background in the makeup industry, but did not even remotely boast, and only brought it up when I asked. (Think Hollywood.) I was SO happy with the result when she was done. (The result being my face.) I looked natural, but flawless and eye-catching. THANK you, Shannon and everyone!

This place always has at least a 3 client to 1 SA ratio (Id never go on a weekend in the summer), and it is tiny to boot. The specialists dont seem terribly knowledgeable or interested (and I know it shouldnt matter, but if youre in the makeup biz one would hope that youd apply your own makeup correctly). Theyre probably just overwhelmed; theyre incredibly busy. But the MAC line can be overwhelming--esp. the lipsticks--and Ive personally had much, much better experiences with an online video consultation than going there. Its pretty disappointing. But if you know what youre looking for, its a good place to pick up some product.

They told me that you can only make appointments to get your make up done if you pay $50, but this is totally false because I went in in person and people were getting their make up done left and right with appointments. Granted they were interrupted sessions, the $50 will get you an uninterrupted session, but it is still possible to make an appointment to get it done for free. Dont let them tell you otherwise.
