When my computer gave me the blue screen of death, it brought my small business (White Dragon Studios) to a halt. You can imagine the stress! I called Geoff (Computer Lift) and, despite it being the weekend, he made an opening for me and immediately started on restoring my computer. The computer ended up needing a clean install, but prior to that Geoff got it running so that I could retrieve my data (a few months of work equal to a few thousand dollars) without any loss. My computer is running fast, clean and in perfect order--and so is my business. Geoff is quick and skilled. I had to bring the computer back a couple of times due to the extent of the problem and time needed to retrieve my files, but Geoff made adjustments in his schedule even when it meant bringing it over in the late evening. Despite what must have been a big interruption to his weekend, Geoff never gave the impression that my emergency was an inconvenience. He bills fairly (no padding, no double billing) and he takes the time to keep you updated and informed--very important when you have a business on hold and $$$$ on the line. He never talked down, was respectful of my concerns and made sure that my budget was considered and options were discussed. Geoff also follows up with you to make sure you are still running smooth. While I hope I never need another repair, if I do, I will call Geoff without hesitation.

Geoff is incredibly patient, efficient, and meticulous in narrowing down strange and quirky computer problems. My computer is 5 years old and very cantankerous, and Geoff worked very hard for an amazingly low rate to figure out why it kept restarting itself for no apparent reason. Geoff figured out the main reasons for the constant restarts, offered various solutions to fit my immediate financial situation, and helped me get my computer in working order again. He was so honest about applying the most cost-effective solution to the problem, and he didnt try to sell me on anything I didnt need, which I really appreciate. Its really hard sometimes as a non-tech-savvy female to find good, honest computer support, so Geoff is the answer to my computer-problem prayers. He also provides scrupulous follow-up service, and he doesnt quit working until you are satisfied. I cannot speak highly enough of Geoffs company, especially after having been through the wringer of horrible service at places like Best Buy, etc. Geoff is honest, thorough, good-humored, and was willing to go to great lengths to fix my computer. I am so grateful to have called him first! Plus, his cats are gorgeous, which is another big selling point with me. :) You will not regret calling Geoff if you have any computer issues. I am recommending him to everyone I know.

I was hesitant to use the services of Computer Lift, as I had never heard of them prior. A friend recommended the business to me. It can be a scary thing to leave your computer, and its accompanying data with a stranger. I have to say that my interactions with Geoff were all extremely positive. He is a very busy man, yet in our communications he never made me feel rushed. He always took the time necessary to clearly communicate the concerns with the hardware/software issues in ways that I could understand and follow, and gave me multiple options for workable solutions. Throughout the entire process of the repairs, I found his communication to be very open and forthright. He even called a few days after the repairs had been completed just to check in and make sure that the computer was performing well for me. Wow! Who else does this anymore; excellent! His pricing structure is fair, and his skills are sure. I just cant emphasize enough how I wish that more business owners were as professional and sincere as I found Geoff to be. Do not hesitate to use the services of Computer Lift. Now, I am recommending my own family and friends to him. ---Josef

Daniel is my "go to" tech guy when it comes to my computer. I am a commercial real estate investment broker, and my livelihood is technology dependent. I first worked with Daniel earlier this year when I need to purchase a new lap top for my office and PC for my home. Daniel provided timely advice on what to look for when purchasing, and them set everything up for me. He is incredibility knowledgeable and quick. A couple of weeks ago I was having problems with my home HP printer, which was independently taking itself "offline". After fiddling with it myself, spending time on a phone call to HP tech support, who could get it going--but then it would take itself off line again, I called Daniel. I was able to schedule a remote online session with him the next morning. Within a few minutes Daniel had diagnosed the issue, and got the printer working once again. And it continues to work. I know Daniel is always available if I need his help, and will get to a solution quickly. I give him my highest recommendation--besides, he is a really nice person to work with.

Our computer was inundated with spy ware messages, which eventually prevented us from logging on to the Internet or sending or receiving email. We were unable to eliminate an advertisement (which was spy ware) which constantly appeared on the screen requesting a payment to clean it up. Geoff from Computer LIft came to our house and utilized his skill and programming expertise to eliminate the spy ware problem. He also cleaned out unwanted material, which allowed the computer to work much more quickly. Geoff was very professional, has a great computer background (computer science major from Portland State) and very easy to work with. His pricing is very reasonable and he charges on the quarter hour after the first hour. Geoff is strong willed in his effort to fix the problem and is willing to spend the time to make that happen. He is very patient, answers questions and is not bothered by continued discussion as to what he is doing. I would recommend him to anyone who needs a computer fix instead of going to retail establishements. Ron and Sally

I had an external hard drive that crashed. There was not anything overly critical on it, but some "would like to have if I could" items. I didnt want to spend hundreds of dollars just to find out "Sorry, theres nothing we can do about it." I called Computer Lift because their address was close to my home. Daniel called me back and was very cool. He explained their policies of traveling to where you are, billing in 15 minute increments so youre not committed to a large expense right off the bat. He came over and took a look at the drive. I was asking questions while he was working on it, and he answered them no problem. He diagnosed that there was no easy way to recover the data, and that the drive would need more data recovery forensics. I decided to forego that, but it was nice to know what my options were. Daniel was such a good guy he didnt even bill me for his time since there was nothing he could immediately do to help me out. But he did ensure that the next time I have problems that he will be the first one that I call.
