My first interactions with PSCR was with the Owner Shawn. Shawn had done a ton of work for family friends and the employees and friends of businesses like Thompsons Furniture in Tumwater and Tanglewilde Lumber/ Mountain view lumber in Yelm. My first comment on Shawn as an owner is he knows and appreciates the value of a long lost practice in business, GOOD REFERRALS to LOCAL business. So when it came time to have my custom desktop built the choice was easy. PSCR got my desktop built that solved every business and creative need I had. Years and years of quality operations, and I think three versions of Windows later, when it came time for our next purchase PSCR was on the top of the list. My wife wanted a Mac Notebook so that she could have a seamless experience across all her Mac devices, iPhone, iPad, and an iPad mini in lieu of her Windows 8 laptop. In her small business, management of her sales, and an extensive photo catalog meant this seamless functionality made her life and operations easier. The reconditioned Mac Notebook came in FLAWLESS, even for a used device. Again, the efforts of PSCR showed, Shawn recommended a Mac Mouse, although pricey, is not only beautiful but also works via Bluetooth so no wires, HUGE for my wife whose been wireless on her mouse devices winces Windows Vista I think. :) Most recently, I needed a Chrome Book for the graphic design work I do. Since I need to be mobile 80-90% of the time, the cloud driven Chrome Book is perfect for my needs. It arrived on time, and TJ did a great job of giving me a quick summary of what to do to get it up and running at home. Im already using it in lieu of the larger much heavier laptop. My next purchase will be a Desktop Mini PC or Mac mini for my graphic design use at home, of course PSCR is already on my radar for that. In short, PSCR is local but acts and performs with a level of service MUCH BIGGER than their humble location. Not only are they great at what they do, they are the ONLY business I refer others to regularly because of the big hearts of Shawn and his staff. Big city service level, with small town authenticity. Please go, you wont be disappointed.

We are new to the Seattle area and do not know a lot of people to ask around about services. I frequently use Craig’s List for information. I checked the computer section and found someone to come my house. He seemed very friendly and sat at my computer for a while clicking the mouse a lot. When he was done, about 45 minutes later, he told me that it would be $75.00. I paid him and he went on his way. After he left, I sat down at my computer and realized that it worked for maybe a day or two and then all of the problems came back. He also managed to turn my print spooler completely off and I had no idea how to turn it back on. I tried to call him several times, but he never returned my calls. Needless to say, lesson learned. I thought I would never use anyone off of Craig’s List without a reference. Then it came time to fix the original problem and additional problems that had been building on our computer since our first guy and went back to Craig’s List. I didn’t go with the first person I called. I actually just used my “mom” sensors. I called Shawn and he answered the phone immediately. We talked for about 15 minutes and he told me that he would be at my house THAT EVENING! He came in with arms full of stuff. I immediately knew that he meant business. He was very professional and greeted all of my family like old friends. He brought my husband and I up to speed on all the problems on our computer and helped us understand what he was doing to fix them. He was very friendly and we made lots of small talk! He even talked with my kids! He ended up having to stay for almost 3 hours and stuck with the price he originally quoted us, even though it took a lot longer than he thought. After leaving our house, he has followed up with us several times to make sure that everything is still working okay. He also told us that if we ever have any problems in the future just to call him to see if it is a quick fix for over the phone. I will highly recommend Shawn to anyone! Lori D

Shawn and Christian rock! So I had an Alienware laptop that I got a lot of good use out of that crapped out on me. Took it to PSCR to try to get it repaired, the guys worked on it for a few weeks trying everything they could but it was simply my Alienwares time to go. Since they couldnt get it to work, they simply charged me the small diagnostic fee, nothing else. I then opted to purchase a new gaming laptop (Asus this time) through PSCR and they got me a great deal on it (couple hundred less than through any other vendor). The laptop arrived and it had some video driver issues causing it to freeze up (which we later found out was because I had insisted on having WIndows 7 as my OS instead of the Windows 8 that came with it). I took it back to PSCR and they again worked on it for a couple weeks trying everything they could think of on their end to fix the problem but we ended up having to send it back to Asus. Asus sent a whole new one for free based on their warranty and thanks to Shawns fantastic comprehensive personal guarantee, I didnt pay a cent for any of the work they did on the new laptop and wont have to for a long while if something else pops up. I cant remember if his guarantee was a year of free repair or longer but still better guarantee than any other vendor or repair business Ive ever encountered in my 30+ years on this earth. Customer service is SPOT ON with these guys and theyre super friendly, so much so I found myself hanging out and just chatting with them at their shop even after business matters had been taken care of. Thanks again Shawn and Christian! Youre the best!

I had a virus infect my desktop PC. I first took it to a guy who buggered it up even worse than it was to begin with. He didnt get rid of the virus. I wasnt going to trust geek squad, either, as theyd managed to screw up a computer of mine a few years earlier and sold me a lot of stuff that made the problems worse. So I took it to Puget Sound Computer repair where I met TJ. This incredibly knowledgeable and kind technician told me what he was going to do to fix it. I have always backed up my computers on a weekly basis and this saved my butt. TJ said it made his job so much easier. But wait! Theres more! At the same time, Id purchased a new laptop. It had Windows 10 on it. It didnt take me three days to realize I absolutely LOATHE, DETEST and HATE Windows 10. Could TJ put Windows 7 on it? Then my husband, who feels the same way about Windows 10, wanted it removed, too. TJ did it all. He replaced my hard drive (the virus had destroyed it), put all my backed up data on it, and put Windows 7 on both laptops. All of this for a VERY REASONABLE price, and in a very short period of time. I highly recommend Puget Sound Computer Repair. The technicians there tell you exactly what they are going to do, and then they DO it. No surprises, no disappointments, no returns of the problems. This company is the best computer repair shop in Thurston County, if not all of Western Washington.
