Disappointed in quality of service we received. Brought desktop in for troubleshooting. Several software apps and Chrome browser failed to open, some others worked just fine. Suspected a registry issue based on error messages, but I know just enough to be dangerous, so figured it would be better to turn it over to a professional to repair. Mark told us he would need to recover data files, reinstall the OS (Windows 8.1) and would reinstall the software I provided. Brought it home after paying $180+ for the repair. Could not connect to home wireless. Took it back in and found they needed to reinstall a driver for the wireless. Brought it back home and discovered I couldnt open Outlook (this had been reinstalled by Mark after the OS reinstall and was one of the programs that was part of the initial problem). Error message was the same as when I brought it in for repair the 1st time. Called Mark and was told I probably just need to reinstall it. When I said that I expected everything to be set up and working when I got it home, he got a bit defensive. Told me it was easy to do and doesnt take long and proceeded to give me instructions on how to do it myself. Yes, I could have reinstalled the OS and the software myself. I am not a Windows 8 fan and am not the primary user on this PC. Where someone who knows what they are doing can complete the tasks in a few hours, it would take me days, with much internet searching, trial and error and frustration. After 2 attempts at reinstalling Outlook without success, I had to revert to the previous version just to have something that works. Mark tried to tell me there was something wrong with my disk, or maybe some incompatibility with a Microsoft update. Same version from the same disk is working just fine on my husband;s laptop with Win8 OS. Bottom line is that Mark did not check to verify that the work he did fixed the problem, and it turned out it wasnt fixed. Overall, I think there is just a misunderstanding between what Mark thinks he is providing and what some of his customers expect. He told me he was paid for data recovery, OS and apps reinstall. Yes, he did that, but I thought he was paid to fix it so that it worked the way it did before we had the problem.

Mark did a great job with my desktop repair. It was even over a holiday weekend, but he still got me in and out pretty quickly. Im fairly computer-savvy, but I had an issue I couldnt figure out, and I couldnt tell if it was hardware or a problem with my OS or BIOS. Mark was able to figure it out pretty quickly with their diagnostic gear that I just dont have. He even tuned up a couple of corrupt files for me and got me running a little more smoothly. I almost didnt take my desktop to the shop, thinking it might just be cheaper to get a new one. Id had this one for about 7 years... Mark gave me a rough estimate of what it might cost, based on the possible scenarios, and put my mind at ease. He called me before he did any repair work, so I had an updated idea of my cost. All in all, my experience was quite good and not as expensive as I might have thought. Definitely cheaper than buying a new computer! Ill go back to these guys for sure, if I ever need another computer repair, (knock wood).

When she got sick I was devastated. I tried everything, but nothing worked. Desperate, I came to the realization that I needed help from a real professional. But I couldnt just leave my precious jewel in the care of any pit faced upstart; I needed to find someone I could trust, It was hard to leave her in someone elses care, even for one night...I mean, weve never been apart for very long. Mark seemed like a stand up guy so, with sweaty fingers grasping the pen I nervously signed the papers giving permission to begin the delicate procedure. It was a long night...Id be lying if I told you I slept much...much at all. The next morning I got the call...the call I had been expecting. She was going to be ok! The Windows 7 upgrade had been a success. Thanks Mark, you truly are King of Kings

Joe from Brainwave PC emailed me about a computer i was selling on craigslist. i called him to talk about it, gave him the specs and all. Heres where things went WRONG first he was trying to get me to drop the price $50, then he basically didnt under stand the specs he kept asking questions like he was dumb about computers, and then right before he hung up his phone i heard him say to someone in the background "What a geek", is this how he treats all of his customers and other people? Sorry Joe i cant sell you my computer. you just dont really seem to understand what i am trying to sell. maybe you should go back to school. i for one will not be doing business with Brainwave PC. (more like Deadbrain PC)

I bought a new HP all-in-one computer and had Mark transfer data from my old computer to the new one. He also set up the new computer for the settings I need due to my visual problems. He also got rid of all the junk HP puts on new computers that is absolutely unnecessary. And I was able to purchase a USB hub, as the new computer didnt really have enough ports for things I use all the time. And I also found a dongle that will allow us to hook the old bomputer up to our Wi-Fi. Great service and even a follow-up to see how I was doing. Brain Wave is my go to place for computer issues. You couldnt find a better place.

My laptop died and went to the devils at Best Buy who looked at it for a minute and basically said get a new computer. On the way home I stopped at a stop light and looked to my right and saw Brainwave, so I stopped in. Mark was super nice, looked at the laptop, and explained two of the problems the laptop could have. I got an estimate that was very reasonable and was much much much less than the cost of a laptop of equal performance. I would recommend Mark and Brainwave and would definitely use them again, BUT hopefully I wont HAVE to lol. Dana - Cornelius, OR.

Brought in a Macbook pro to have a fan connector soldered to the logic board. An hour later I got a call saying the job was done but the laptop wouldnt turn on but I could still come in and pay for his service, if you could call it that. After arguing the point that it worked beforehand but not when picked up, I was cussed out and told to leave. So now I am out a 1000 dollar Macbook pro and have to sue in small claims court to get my laptop replaced or to get money to replace it myself.. Be careful who you leave your belongings with.

Went to this store because my fiance and I were having problems getting a new build to post. The LEDs on the mobo and gpu were on, but no response from fans or any thing else. We werent sure if it was the motherboard or the power supply since the test on the PSU was working fine. We brought it in and they tested several things and found the new PSU is faulty in multiple ports in less than 30 minutes. They didnt charge for the diagnosis, were very professional, knowledgeable, quick and kind. Definitely recommend!
