I find all of the positive reviews of this pharmacy somewhat suspect after my recent experience with a client. The pharmacist has been consistently rude and intimidating to a particularly vulnerable client who is living with a mental illness. Currently she has been without her medications for approximately 6 days, though she has had the same prescriptions mailed to her each month. Yesterday he stated he would mail them (to be received today) if he had time and got around to it which is completely unacceptable as they are late due to pharmacy error. They were not mailed, and another day is spent without medications. This is potentially devastating to someone who is living with schizophrenia, and the pharmacist is causing harm. Please refer any vulnerable clients AWAY from this pharmacy.

Amazing experience. The pharmacists always work quickly, my prescriptions are always ready to pick up and when Ive had to deal with transferring them, I just leave my information and they handle all the rest. I switched to them from Walgreens for the convenience of their location and dread the thought of having to switch again, as they make everything so easy. The selection of products is also very good for a local pharmacy in the downtown area, and the prices are great. Plus, if you work in the immediate vicinity, they extend a small discount on regular purchases. Tl;dr, amazing staff, very convenient, a great deal and very helpful.

this pharmacy fills a unique niche in downtown portland with a grace and sense of compassion that is lacking in many experiences these days. the staff are extremely helpful. they will do battle with insurance companies to get medications. whilst they are always busy, they will take the time you need to find something or help you understand a medication complexity so that you can feel safe taking it...they serve all of portland equally and i am very grateful for their presence in this world of "big box" business.

They have a wonderful staff and customer service. I have had my prescriptions filled by them for past 10 years. When I first started going there, Ive had 7 different pills that needed to be taken. Instead of me having to fill up my weekly pill box, they provided a bubble pack for me, so I dont have to accidentally put wrong pills in wrong days. They do it for free and mail them to me. I have recommended them for years and will continue to do so,

The staff and pharmacists are top notch - VERY service oriented and knowledgeable. Ive been in twice in need of assistance with odd questions, and they not only pointed me in the right direction, they never push a sale or product. If the generic is fine, theyll say so, yet their professional help costs nothing. I love this place and recommend it, especially if you need or appreciate truly personal service.

Gary and his staff are great. Several of us at my place of work would rather deal with Central Drugs than pay less to use our insurance mail order service, because Central Drugs is more dependable. Once I told them of a product I use a lot and have trouble finding. They have stocked it ever since.

Matt works the counter with professionalism and a smile. Ive been a customer for more than 20 years. Convenient to downtown workers. They also send your prescription via mail. Usually I get mailed prescriptions within one or two days of calling them in. Great service. Highly recommend

I pick up my prescriptions here every month and I think theyre the absolute best! Very very helpful and friendly. Theyre really doing it right! Kinda has an old school vibe which feels nice. I leave here confident that my prescriptions are filled accurately and Im well taken care of.

One of the pharmacists said theyve been there 104 years, with just 3 owners. I just noticed on the business card I grabbed on the way out that they have a "preferred customer" discount program (10% discount). Ill sign up next time Im in.

They sell homeopathic products here. In other words, sugar pills. Either they dont understand science-based medicine, or theyre just making a buck off of customers who dont. Neither possibility makes me all that willing to come back.
