I had a couch set that I purchased from Big Lots. When I got it, I let the associate know that I wasnt getting my keys to my new place for about 5 days. She said it was fine and that they could hold the set for a week or longer if needed. The next morning I get a call from the delivery company saying that they were 5 minutes from the house I wasnt living at and they attempted to deliver the couches. Obviously there was no communication from Big Lots to the delivery company or any communication from the delivery company to myself to arrange drop off. I left message after message with no response from them. I called Big Lots several times about my concern and they said they could do nothing. Finally, my set was delivered (late, outside of the 2 hour window I was given). The delivery guy appeared to be fidgeting with the side of the couch before he left so I investigated. There were holes, fluff coming out of the couch and cushions, metal poking out due to poor construction, and dirt/discoloration. I took photos and went down to the store. Joann was great and helped me find a new set from a different location as they were out. She also set up a time for the delivery company to get the old set and replace it the next day. The delivery company showed up (outside the time frame they set) and picked up the old set but had no idea about the new set. I called Joann who said she was going to follow up with the delivery company as she told them about the set earlier in the morning. I decided to give it another day to see if I heard from the delivery company (each time I have to leave a voicemail) but hadnt heard anything so I called Big Lots to find out what is going on. Rob was incredibly rude and unprofessional. When I asked about the new set he began to argue with me about the damage to the first set saying that it looked fine to him. He also said that he didnt think both pieces were coming back and assumed I still had the pillows. I paid for this set and have nothing. The delivery company picked up all the pieces. He did not answer my questions about getting the new set. At this point, I am frustrated to the point of tears. Paid for a product two weeks ago that I do not have and have had the WORST customer service experience from both Big Lots and S and K Deliveries.

Myself and another customer were ignored in furniture for 20+ minutes. He gave up, I finally flagged someone down. Ordered a sofa & recliner. The sofa showed up at my house with 3 legs, one of 3 was shattered. They expected me to drive 20 miles round trip to replace the leg which should have been checked before sending it out in the first place. You cant mail me a leg? Nope. Wont buy furniture here again.

Their prices arent really cheaper, the aisles are narrow, the floors are old and dirty. They dont have a lot of variety, and what they have is poor quality. Wheelchair rating - 2 (some areas are fine, some are manageable, some are not possible). Gluten-free rating - 1 (the grocery area has nothing)

The schedules for the employees are horrifying. The day I came in there were only about two employees actually working. I bought furniture and THEY DIDNT EVEN HAVE ALL THE PARTS TO PIECE MY THINGS TOGETHER! Really need to step up because I was completely unsatisfied!

This place has some good deals sometimes.. Decent options and variety. However, they do not staff well -rarely people on the floor and almost always a line for checkout. Not easy to get in and out of quickly.

The most telling aspect of any business is the bathroom. The bathrooms here are clean, and well kept. Based on that alone, I trust this big lots.
