8/9/16 UPDATE: Its now been well over a month since I was promised the purchase order would be sent to the company putting on my nerf bars and window tint. This weekend I was promised once again by Eric Laursen that without any doubt this would all be taken care of Monday. I called yesterday afternoon and they said they hadnt done it yet but it would be done. Well Im writing this at 4:45 AM on a Tuesday morning and nothing was done. The company with which Ive been working (at Gladstone Nissans behest) has called, email and faxed and NOTHING has gotten done. The guy over at the accessory place is just as shocked at the gross incompetence as I am. Im calling it what it is at this point. Gladstone Nissan has stolen money from me. Im calling out Eric Laursen by name name because to this point, nothing important hes said has turned out to be true. This guy is the classic car salesman that everyone dreads having to deal with. I cant believe I now have to get my lawyer involved over less the $500 of a $27k or so purchase. I now feel compelled to report to the BBB, CUDL, the bank with which I got the loan, all of the online car sales sites and whatever else I can come up with just at the chance someone else might be saved this grief. Its disgusting that this company would care so little as to drive a generally calm person to such lengths as this. Its gross and quite uncomfortable. If you value your time and your sanity to some extent, DO NOT shop here. __________ As juxtaposition, when I buy guitar picks from Sweetwater for $5, I get a call from them making sure everything was as I expected and assuring my satisfaction with the product. Apparently spending in the neighborhood of $30,000 with Gladstone Nissan doesnt even guarantee a response to an email. Ive had to chase the sales manager the whole way trying to get things addressed, jumping through countless hoops and having hours of my time wasted. Im not convinced any car lots are decent around here based on my recent shopping experience and Gladstone Nissan didnt improve that impression but Im giving them 2 stars rather than 1 because my salesman was chill and genuinely seemed like he wanted to make things easier and I do like my Xterra. My advice if you are going to shop there is be careful and listen closely to what youre being told because a lot of what you hear from some people there isnt what you think it is. There were a number of things I was told were going to happen that didnt but even more things that were presented in such a way that in hindsight were subtle but intentional distortions of the actual circumstance. I really wanted this to be a fun experience and I did get a cool rig when all was said and done but it has been an excruciating waste of my time. Things that should have been simple were made unnecessarily difficult. Its as though their tactic is to make things as frustrating as possible so you finally give in and just start saying yes to things. Its been 4 days since I last emailed them with no response and Im tired of chasing them so I guess well see. Again, I suggest you be more careful than you might already and listen closely if you go do go there. I can say for sure I wont be going there again. If I do have to use the warranty I purchased (that cost me $500 more than I was originally told when I agreed to it), its worth it to me to pay the $100 deductible to take it to another Nissan dealer. Thats how frustrated I am.

Back in Dec. of 2006 I went on a hunt to find a Xterra to purchase. I came to this dealership first since it was the closest to me. As I get out of my car a sales man came up to me and I stated I want to test drive an Xterra. He went and grabbed a brand new Offroad edition in a 6mt and off we went. When we got back I told him I wanted and auto and he stated they didnt have any. I was never pressured into buying the Xterra I test drove and was told they would keep an eye out for an auto for me. That was it as far as the sales side goes for me. I ended up finding a 2005 auto and purchasing it. It had 20k miles on it and was bone stock when I picked it up. I still am driving this Xterra and just passed 150K miles last week! I credit Nissan Gladstone and their service department for the many years of work and help to keep it on the road today. Any and all warranty issues I have ever had were handled right away and in a proper manner! All but the latest 30k mile services were performed here and have never had a problem with them over charging me or trying to scam me, this was with the old and new owners! If I had to leave my Xterra there for the day they always offered me a ride to/from work or to get me a rental car. It sucks to hear some people have had bad experiences here but no one if perfect, remember that. As long as I own my Xterra or any Nissan they have me as a customer! I also want to give a big thumbs up to Sky and the service department for being very helpful and professional every time I came in or called! When they get the first diesel Pro4x Frontier in I will be waiting for you to open up!!

I was in the market for a small compact SUV and so, after reading many reviews, I picked about 5 cars I wanted to test drive to see which one I liked best. One of these was the Nissan Rogue. After driving it, I decided it wasnt the car for me as it didnt have the pizzazz of other models that fit better how I drive. No big deal, thats why theres a lot of cars - to find one that fits you. My salesperson seemed to understand this and, while disappointed, wished me luck on my quest to find the right car for me. I can appreciate that. And then another salesperson jumped in and basically tried to cram a Nissan Murano down my throat. While great cars, they are not what I wanted. I stated that and he berated me constantly for not wanting the Murano and repeatedly told me they would make me a deal I couldnt refuse. Exasperated, I eventually told him that if he could offer me a fully loaded Murano for the same price as the Rogue I drove, wed talk. This was admittedly a request he couldnt honor but he wasnt picking up on any of the other queues I was leaving as I was trying to gracefully back away. He told me he couldnt do that but I should still drive one. I mean, come on. I was angry after that, that I would be treated so poorly. I might have been in the market for a Murano-size car in a few years as my kids get bigger. When I am, I will never purchase from this dealer that hires people like that. Ever. And I will encourage everyone I know who is looking for a Nissan to look elsewhere too. Youd do best to avoid this dealership. At all costs.
