I was a bit put off by the owners gruffness from the moment we went in here but my husband was in a lot of pain and needed a really good pair of shoes. My husband went into great detail about his back pain to the owner and they looked at his feet. It was recommended my husband get Birkenstocks and we were assured that this would dramatically help his pain. I was busy looking at other shoes and tending to our kids but I clearly heard the owner tell my husband if they didnt work out then just to bring them back and get something different. My husband wore them from the store to our car and then into our home. He wore them for 1.5 hours in our home that day, 2 hours in our home the next 2 days. His back pain became significantly worse. He went to the chiropractor in running shoes and mentioned the new birkenstocks and she immediately said they were to blame because of the lower heel hyperextending his back. I went in today to return them and the owner refused. He said there was too much wear! There were no scuffs on the bottom whatsoever. They had barely been worn. How in the world can one test a shoe out without wearing it? Im very frustrated to be out nearly $200 for shoes that cannot be worn!!! I will never do business there again.

I love this place. I went in thinking a new pair of boots might be nice. Just looking. First thing, Eric, the manager had me roll my pant legs up and walk for him. Then he put me in a pair of Superfeet insoles. Just to try. Wow! Then after trying several boots I picked out he suggested MBTs. I didnt know, but it doesnt cost anything to try it on. Right? I walked out wearing MTV boots with Superfeet insoles. A week later Im back to buy another pair of MBTs in another style. My low back pain has been greatly demenished and a troublesome, painful knee from a old injury is sooooooo much better. Good shoes are worth every penny. And last so much longer that they are actually a frugal move. As for style .... they have lots of super cute shoes that will keep your feet happy for a lifetime of miles. Had a very patient and pleasant experience last Saturday shopping for shoes. Mr. Ron Keller was our salesman and he went out of his way to find the right shoes, as my feet have corns, callouses , odd shape, etc. Mr. Keller brought out many different shoes to try and to no avail. We asked about ordering a pair that he did not have in my size, (although he contacted all the other Shoe Mills with no luck), he said the wait time would be so far out for him to get them, that he could not promise a time they would be into the store. He did mention we could go on line and order them direct. We did and my shoes will be here Friday. Because of Mr. Kellers service, I will buy my next shoes from Shoe Mill.

I went to this shoe awhile ago, and was VERY, VERY happy with my experience. The shoes I bought there lasted me up to a year ago, and now I desperately need another pair. I walk on hard raised floors, and concerte floors that cause people major back, leg, and foot pain because they dont wear the right tpye of shoes for the job. The people at the Clackamas Shoe Mill know feet. Miss dancedance2011 if you want to keep your body healthy and free of pain over the long run youll listen to them, however if style and looking good is more important then go to nordstrom if want to look good, or goodwill if you want cheap shoes. Good luck to you and hope you have many years of looking good.

About 6 months ago my feet were killing me i swear i had a bone spur in my heal i refuse to go to the doctor or worse to have surgery Im a server on my feet at the least 9 hours a day i went in to the shoe mill to buy shoes that nurses wear because their on their feet longer hours than I am, GREG the manager helped me, that day the life of my feet in his hands, he set me up with a pair of Dansko shoes and insoles and also a foot ball to massage my feet to relax and reform my feet. He has saved my feet and I will always go back to him. I promise even if their busy and you have to wait in line just relax it will be worth it Thank you

I was SOOOOOOO impressed. Im not sure if the gentleman was the manager or what, but he was the most helpful shoe salesman of anyone I have ever talked to. My problem is that I have very strange feet and do not fit in any commercial shoe brands. I have been to nearly every shoe store in Portland with never any luck. He was the first shoe person who took my shoe problem seriously and actually found a shoe that fits. Better than any specialty store I have been to.

Came in and worked with Greg. He is very knowledgeable about feet. And believe me. I went to good feet and they pretty much hustled me and my girlfriend. So I have a very good comparison.If your feet hurt. Then come in here and get your feet check by him. If you listen you can learn lots from him. Trust me!!

Best place to find shoes that fit properly. Staff is well trained in fitting shoes so they are comfortable. It was a delight to purchase my latest pair of running shoes from them.
