Sure, if you insist on an environment such as Barnes & Noble where its a big, new, snazzy, brightly-lit box store with teenaged "associates" with earbuds putting them in constant communication with Management running around ignoring you, where the prices are painful, by all means go there. But if your priority is BOOKS, and youre fascinated by all the old titles, and youd like to sit down in an overstuffed chair and browse and you dont mind if the bookstore cat jumps up and curls up on your lap, then try Browsers. The people are knowledgeable and helpful. They will even help people who are negative and rude. Have never seen anything disgusting there, myself. I would give it 4 1/2 stars if I could--the only drawback is that its a bit small (but with tons of books crammed into it) and if youre looking for a specific title its often the case that their last copy is on hold for someone on the shelf behind the counter. However they do have two stores and what youre looking for might be in the other one. The prices are very reasonable.

I guess I dont understand why two toothless illiterate women are running a bookstore. Books on the floor, swearing back and forth, and people walking over stacks of books. I was so shocked I was speechless. This isnt a bookstore. Its the back of a bar where the trash is piles of books. The health dept needs to take a look at this place too. I saw rat feces on the floor right next to a pile of books. Gross. Thank goodness I didnt bring the kids with we. Ill drive down to Eugene to Barnes and Noble, thank you very much. This place gives used bookstores a really bad name.

I loved this store! I took my mother there for Mothers Day as it was listed as one of the top bookstores in Oregon based on a Google search. We spent 2 hours there and could have spent at least 2 hours more. We found so many treasures there and the staff was very friendly. It is a bit crowded with the amount of books and limited space but that just made the hunt more enjoyable. It was well worth the hour drive from Portland and we will definitely go again!

This Bookstore is a Hidden Well for the Seekers, Whether you seek truth or error, or whether you seek escape, you will find a cave of treasures here. I am a deep student of scripture and have been overwhelmed by the flood of knowledge that pours forth inside this store The Gatekeepers, Scott and Trish are awesome to speak with and will help you find exactly what you need Best of all, Browsers is always Priced affordably

Enjoyed browsing the back room, the one with books and boxes on the floor. Found some great gothic romances from the 70s that are overpriced on eBay. Never know what treasures youll find!

Woman was crass and didnt even look up the book i was trying to sell just gave a nasty look and said no. Not going there again. Wish there were a zero stars
