A good place for pens and some stationary, knickknacks, and of course books (mostly Japanese). It may not be as big as the one in San Francisco, but SF is much further from Portland, and they still have a nice pen selection that includes brands not sold by other Portland-area stores.

A really wonderful Asian import bookstore which also stocks English books. They have manga, magazines, kids books, art books, cookbooks, collectibles, etc. My favorite items are the anime plushes and wall scrolls and the section of art pens.

If you love Japanese stationary then this place is for you. They also sell manga, and other anime merchandise. The shop is quite small but there is plenty of little corners to explore. A must visit for stationary lovers.

A wonderful bookstore with a delightful atmosphere. Between the new manga fads and the timeless gems, this place had yet to disappoint me. Also, their writing supplies and little figurines are adorable!

This is the place to go for cool stationery and awesome Japanese knitting books (although yarn stores are starting to carry the books, they dont have the big selection you find here).
